Did the email say what time the ship would arrive?
It says to show up 1.5 hours after the scheduled check in time

At least I know I'm not the only one!

I got an email about the Breeze being delayed into Galveston tomorrow due to propulsion issues, but we are sailing on the Pride out of Baltimore. Anyone else get this message?
-
Since I'm sailing out of Baltimore this Sunday, I'm keeping a close eye on this storm. At this point I have no idea when the Pride will be back in Baltimore as Hermine will be directly in the path of the ship coming back from Freeport this weekend. I'm expecting a delay in arrival Sunday and a delay for our embarkation. Still a little too early to tell though.
We will be there with you!

So, I am nervous about booking excursions privately for this cruise. We usually do a mix of ship sponsored and private excursions. I am paranoid that we will miss the ship or something bad will happen on this Europe cruise if we book private excursions. The price difference is probably significant, and I know I am probably just worrying about nothing, but should we just stick with carnival excursions so I don't worry so much? My biggest worry is missing the ship. Am I stressing too much about this?

And, if you want to book this hotel, book early. We booked in September 2014 for June 2016... It is a popular place for people to spend their wedding night or honeymoon!
Sorry, that was supposed to say June 2015! I am already looking forward to 2016 I guess!

I just wanna say that this was the best cruise we have been on yet! I loved it and would repeat in a heartbeat. I hope this review helps anyone trying to decide whether or not to give this a try. I was skeptical, and was worried it was a cruise just for "old folks". I was completely wrong! The entire trip was fantastic. If anyone has any questions about this trip, just let me know!

Our hotel had a roof top restaurant. We ate dinner there and watched the Maasdam sail away!

Random Old Town Montreal:
She taught us some more french, we taught her some english!
There were lots of artists and street performers everywhere!

Old town Montreal, carriage ride:
Our carriage driver had an assistant, and she was adorable!
And after, I got to feed the horse!

I tried to count the rooms at this hotel in Old Montreal and I believe it was 20 rooms. We were on the 5th floor, which was the top floor and we had picked a river view room. This was our view:
And we could see the Massdam in port and we were able to watch her sail away that evening too!

Better late than never!
Ok, so about Montreal. We stayed at Auberge du Vieuw Port. It was fantastic and totally worth $300 US per night!

Sorry for the delay for the rest of the review. I've been working all weekend and hopefully can finish it tomorrow!

Sitting at hotel in Old Montreal counting the hours til we can board the Maasdam! Your report and photos are terrific! We did that winery tour in 2008 and really enjoyed the ice wine. Do they still have a cellar dog that greets the tour visitors? Thanks much for your efforts!
Enjoy the trip! I know we did!
I did not see a dog at the winery :(

So, its getting late and I should probably order room service (aka ask hubby for a late night snack delivered to bed). I will finish with Montreal tomorrow! Thanks everyone!

Enjoying your photos.
Do you recall the name of the chocolate dessert?( third photo of your last post).
Whoopie pie, I believe!

And finally, on day 6, I was full:

CAUTION: DO NOT READ WHEN HUNGRY
So, Quebec City was the last port before we arrived in Montreal. So, The last stuff from the ship. Food Porn. I can't remember was serve on which day, or even what all if it is. But it was food. Good food. Luckily, we walked an average of 6 miles per day, so I managed to not gain a single pound!

NCL Dawn 7 day NE/Canada-has anyone done?
in Canada/New England
Posted
We have done both Alaska and Canada/New England. Liked Alaska, but every port looked alike to me and they of course had all the same Diamonds International shops.
Canada/New England we loved, so much we are doing again in 2018. Each port was unique, and we loved that it didn’t feel like a “cookie cutter” cruise. We did Holland-America for both, but decided to try out NCL for 2018.
