Thanks for that. Just took screenshots of everything!,

  2. I got the best price drop last Christmas Eve on a Celebrity cruise. I had booked with my TA, selected cabin etc but had not paid. I was just checking on the Celebrity website to see what cabins where still available when I noticed a A$3000 drop!! I put a hold on another cabin, just in case, and then rang my TA who was able to get my original cabin with the OBC at the new price.

The only hassle was the stream of emails from Celebrity reminding me about the new cabin I no longer wanted.

It has never happened to me before but from now on I will be checking prices daily once I decide on a cruise. No idea where the drop came from. My TA certainly had not been advised. I do think that because I had not yet paid a deposit it was possible.

    Best Christmas present ever.

Incidentally if you book on line and want a nice cabin with a window L102 is almost always available as it looks tiny. The missing space relates to the short exit corridor you get an every other cabin. Your cabin door is direct to outside with no internal corridor space in the cabin and you bathroom is next to the bed. Two beds or double laterally across ship and you can sit on the bed when in singles and open bathroom door.

    Regards John

Could you please tell if the bed or beds are under the window in this cabin?

I'm looking at booking it but I really dislike having to climb onto the bed to see out as you do on most HAL oceanview cabins.

    many thanks.

  4. We just returned last night from our cruise on the Ruby Princess to Cozumel and Grand Cayman Island. Prior to this cruise, I read numerous posts stating to avoid R750 at all costs. Balcony too small. Easy visual access by other passengers into your balcony. Too noisy. Too high on the ship. And on and on. Well, I would say that having cabin R750 was the the best surprise on the entire trip. R750 sits aft on deck 14, the highest cabin deck onboard. The exterior door sits at the end of a small hallway of its own. There is no foot traffic whatsoever. R750 sits seconds from the Caribe and Horizon buffets. The stern pool is feet away complete with a bar. Chairs and lounge chairs are plentiful. The pool is adults only and quiet. And finally, anyone saying that cabin R750 is a problem in any way, shape, or form is flat out incorrect. We loved that cabin and would book it again in a minute.

Any questions about cabin R750 or the Ruby Princess will be happily answered honestly and accurately.

I've just booked R751 for next March so was very pleased to read your comments. I had originally booked a balcony cabin Golden princess leaving 10 days later but was able to get my flights using Qantas points, saving lots of money, so I changed and was thrilled to get an aft balcony. I admit I was wondering why they were still available so thanks again.
