  1. My husband and I were on the Seashore a couple of weeks ago and had lunch there one day.  We were in YC and were told our package could not be used.  The margueritas were delish.  Our lunch was around $60.00.  But a couple of days toward the end of the cruise they did run specials "all you can eat" for $17.99pp.  Of course drinks were additional.

They've never had rum in miniature-sized bottles so they can't give you what they don't have.

This was our first time on an MSC ship and hopefully not our last, but until you ask you do not know.  It was a learning process for us.  At the moment we have 4 reservations with Celebrity and cannot look at MSC again until late 2020.

  3. We spent 2 weeks on Seaside in October and our experience was not always positive.  My husband asked if the 3 bottles could be exchanged for rum and was told no.  So we left the 3 untouched in frig.  We did eat some of the nuts and they were not replenished 2 times a day.  In fact, we had to ask on day 2 after we had eaten them if they would please replenish them.  We left the empty cans on the counter so they could not miss the fact that they were empty and were still ignored. I am guessing the housekeeping personnel has a lot to do with ones personal experience.  Obviously it did not spoil our trip but I had read on these boards all these wonderful experiences and that is not always the case for everyone.  Also, not once during the 2 weeks did anyone offer to bring a drink to our cabin.  My husband went to TSL and got our drinks.  This was okay with us but again not what I had read on here.

  4. Several years ago I wanted to buy one of X's cookbooks.  I was informed to go to Tuscan Grill, they were housed there.  I did and the girl walked a few steps to pick one up and hand it to me.  When I went to sign the slip it had 18% grats attached.  I questioned her and was informed that because it was ring up in restaurant, I had to pay it.  They would not budge.

  5. We were on Seaside for 2 weeks in October in DYC cabin and our service charges appeared at end of cruise on final bill and that was only $350.00 for 2 people for 2 weeks.  Not a lot of money for all the work they do.  My only complaint regarding YC is the amount of workers that you interact with on a daily basis.  Everyone went above and beyond to make our 2 weeks wonderful.  That said, tipping additional at end of cruise is a little frustrating trying to be fair to everyone.  We tipped 4 servers in TSR, 2 bartenders in TSL, 2 concierges, the housekeeper and of course Maria, our butler and that was probably only a third of the folks were interacted with.

  6. We just got an email  this morning informing us we are Gold for their match status program.  We are Diamond Plus with RC and almost Elite Plus with Celebrity.  Did not realize it had changed.  We booked our first MSC cruise for this October in one of the YC suites.
