  1. Thanks everyone for your help. I had written to the captain previously. It was in Dec 2016, just after we had got back from the U.K. as my husband had received a very special award at Buckingham Palace where we both met the Queen - a once in a lifetime event. I thought in saying why he was awarded (his many many years of service to Royal Life Saving) that it may have been given an invite. But unfortunately not!

I do know about the credits and am currently sitting on 47 credits - have two more princess cruises booked, which will take us up to 49, but i saw a P&O cruise for good value - i might just wait it out to get the 50th and see what happens.

    Thanks again

  2. Hi All,

Hoping you can all help me. I have heard on here a little while ago that on your 50th cruise with Princess you get an invitation to the Bridge. Is this still the case? And, do they count P&O Australia (it is counted for my elite status and also my "extra loyalty onboard credits").

    Thanks in advance

  3. Yes sending through and getting confirmation. Sometimes I get a reply email and sometimes they send me an updated booking confirmation, but for the last four cruises, the OBC has not been applied and I have had to approach reception and I always bring and provide the response, but even so it can take a few days for them to apply it and I am consistently told that i need to speak to my agent.

It is just getting very frustrating that i have done the correct procedure and that four times it has happened. I will be cruising again in a couple of weeks, so I will see what happens there.

The same thing happened to my mother in law on her last cruise.

  4. Hi Everyone,

I have the appropriate number of Carnival PLC shares and just recently I have had a lot of problems in receiving the onboard credit.

All correct documentation was provided, however on my last four P&O cruises the onboard credit was not on my account. I have had to follow this up with Reception (and they were not very helpful, even telling me to go back to my travel agent). I always bring my confirmation letter with me.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    Thanks Lynda

    Feeling very frustrated

  5. I have done this tour on a P&O cruise in January 2014. It was amazing. Definitely worth the money and not something you can do by yourself. I took my daughter was 14 at the time and we could swim with the turtles.

We have been on lots of cruises, done lots of tours and this would be rated as the best one.

    Hope you enjoy it.

  6. Hi Everyone,

Thank you all for your advice etc. I just have a quick question, with regard to Elite status. We have done 26 cruises with P&O and have a princess cruise booked. On "My Princess" it says we are elite, but I am wanting to know if we will get the elite perks on our first princess cruise. Also how do we get our pins (and previous ones too)? Thanking you all in advance. Regards Lynda:)

  7. Hi Everyone,

Hoping you can help. I have been reading the posts about purchasing Carnival Shares (CCL) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and I am looking into this with my bank. My reasons for purchase CCL Shares are:

    - I will be able to get shareholder benefits (i.e. Onboard Credit), and

    - I also think its a good investment.

From what I understand, the only way way to buy US Shares when in Australia (that is as a non US resident from outside USA) is through an online share trading system, like ComSec, Westpac or eTrade.

It looks like shares purchased in this way are held in a "trustee type" arrangement, with the Bank (or a trust company) as the legal owner. From what I understand all the bank's online share trading systems are the same. Of course, my Bank share statement will show I own CCL shares.

I want to ask if there are any other Aussies who are in the same situation and were able to get the OBC in the same situation.

Also from your experience, how easy was it purchasing the shares and how long did it take to get them?

    Thanking you all in advance.

    Regards

    Lynda
