  1. Sorry I see no one has posted and maybe I have too much pre cruise going on but NOLA was soooo cool and I know I couldnt find enuf info on it when I was doing my reserch so Im adding it in here.

For those of you waiting for just the elation part, its coming. We boarded the next day :D

Dont apologize. Im enjoying all your pictures of N.O. Ive never been there, but will be headed their next month to cruise on the Elation. Im looking forward to the rest of your review.

  2. We were in a cove on the Breeze in Dec. I cant remember, for sure, what our cabin number was, but I believe it was like 2242 or close to that. The noise was HORRIBLE!! This was our 13th cruise and the first time ever having an issue with noise. Chairs or kitchen carts or something being dragged across the floor at all hours of the night. However, we had friends in coves, at the other end of the hallway and they had no issue with noise whatsoever. Other than the noise, we loved the cove. I was concerned about being close to the water, but you arent close to the water. No where near as close as I had anticipated. The balcony did stay damp from the mist of the water but that no issue for us. Enjoy your cruise!

  3. The route to Dreams from the port where the ship docks: Is it along a highway or on local roads?

Once you leave the ship, you will walk through "security gates", which is where the taxis are waiting. The roads were local roads. We didnt see any "highways". As someone else posted, there is a lot of construction going on. We passed over a small "river" mind you, and the taxi driver told us parts of the movies Anaconda and Rambo (with Sylvester Stallone), were filmed in that water. It was approx 15-20 minute drive to Dreams Resort. Cost was $60 per person and very well worth it. You will not be disappointed.

  4. We had a large group from our roll call that went to Dreams last November. We did not have prearranged transportation. Just walked to the cab area and took 2 van loads of people to Dreams. We told the drivers what time we would like to be picked up and they were there, on time, waiting on us. We gave a number count to the resort, approx 2 weeks before we went. No money was paid up front. We paid when we arrived at Dreams. They greeted us with champagne. The food was good, the drinks were good and strong. Plenty of lounge chairs on the beach, and good amount of shade, if you desire. We had a wonderful day and will go back there, when in port again. Happy cruising~ :)

  5. Another beggar here, for the file. Tom, thanks so much for doing this for all of us. You did great on the burger file also. By the way, DH and I sailed on Glory twice. We love her too!! Plenty big but not so big that you cant find some quiet spots. We are sailing on the Breeze in December. Can hardly wait! sandyspell at yahoo dot com. Thanks! Sandy

  6. I have read many reviews, but yours is BY FAR, the best I've ever read. It has taken me a couple of hours to get through the whole thing but time has flown by. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. You were very descriptive in your review, and I love a lot of pictures in reviews. The pictures show what a great time you and your friends had. Thanks! I can't wait to read through your other reviews, in the near future. :) Sandy

  8. just off the Victory and I saw some shipmates at one of the beaches eating fruit and other items they packed in tupperware that they filled at the buffet that morning...meanwhile we were sharing a $17.00 wrap:eek:

never thought of it but its light and you can put stuff inside of it, not a bad idea for next cruise!

I've never thought of that either. Good idea~

  9. Delaware 123, go to Unofficial Carnival Wiki, click on Carnival Ship and Class; Imagination is a Fantasy class ship, so click on Fantasy; then Imagination; scroll to the bottom and it will give you an option to print deck plans and ship info. There are 46 pages, which includes lots of pictures.

GAPearl, your review was great. Looks like you had a lot of fun.
