There are new pools in both ports just outside the port area.

Both look nice and walking distance to ship.

Can anyone tell me if the pools at Puerta Plata and La Romana are free to use or is there an entrance fee.

If free is there a charge for chairs, I know food and drink are extra.

Just had my tour in La Romana cancelled and now trying to make new plans. Leave in 5 weeks.

Thanks for doing this. I am sailing on the return cruise Southampton to NJ in Oct. 15 nights.

Can you check what they do with main dinner? Are menus different each night or do they repeat one week to the next.

We are sailing on March 11th, the same ports as you.

Would you have the order of the dinner themes as the app only shows 6 nights and not sure about the order. We are trying to pick a night for Chops.

I got a phone call about it from RCCL. They were very nice and understood my problem and made good for it.

One of the reasons we keep sailing on Royal.

What price for flights from NY to Amsterdam (non stop) have you paid.

Looking at $1500-1700 for 2 next June. I have a long time to go, but the price

is not to bad.

I know what you mean. But I think they may use this info as a way to see how much people are willing to pay.

They feed it into the computer and see how much they can get.

Also I a cabin should become available (last minute cancel) they have the bids in already.

We just did a snorkeling tour with HAT TRICK charters June 8th. We had a great time. We went all the way out to the edge of the reef. No other boats around.

Small catamaran they take no more that 18 people (i think). Check out their web site.

Provided all gear, had some sandwiches and drinks.

Is the beach just across the water from where the ship docks OK, are the restaurants open there.

We usually just take the water taxi over and walk down a bit. Get 2 chairs, umbrella some water etc, but most important is the use of the bathroom in one of the restaurants.

We just returned from the Adventurer. Our sea pass cards said

Diamond Plus - Choice, along the bottom. I think it means we could use either the diamond or concierge lounge. We never tried the concierge lounge but was told we could if we wanted.

Thank you all for the answers. As I am driving to the port and parking there, it is easy to bring it home. That is why I would like to buy a little more than 2 bottles. I would not buy and fly anymore. Too much work.

Can any tell me what they paid in duty free tax if you bring home more liquor than the allowed amount?

I know we each can bring one liter duty free, but is it worth it to buy more and pay the duty tax?

We stayed at the hotel Jazz post cruise. There was a train station just up the block, so it was easy to get around. Also close to Las Rambles and restaurants.

Nice modern hotel and rooms. We were very happy with it.

They do not have cabanas on Columbus Cove , they do have beach bungalows. I have had both though on Labadee. I much prefer the bungalows on Columbus Cove as the water is right in front of the bungalows and the workers there did make it private and not let others in there unless you had a arm band on. They waited on us all day. I would book the bungalows over the cabanas in a heart beat. Plus they are cheaper. You could see the Aqua park from there. But as far as noise we had to issues. Very relaxing day there. Loved it.

I am looking at a cabana on Columbus cove. We have had cabanas on Barefoot beach in the past.

1- Is the cabana area closed off or are they just on the beach?

2- Are they near the Aqua park area and noisy do to it's location?

Try taking a look at Barcelona day tour, we used them after our cruise.

They have a few different tours. We were picked up at the cruise pier, did the tour and dropped off at our hotel. But I think they can drop off at the airport too. Just go to the web site and check. We stayed in Barcelona for a few days and used them for a couple of tours and were very happy with them.
