Thanks for everyone's help. I guess we will call since we don't do Facebook.  Do we need their booking number?

You don't have to have Facebook, login to your Carnival account, then cruise manager click Booking and order details. You can link them to your booking, you will need their booking number. I have done this several times for our family, our first cruise was for 15 people and I have never had a problem.

Thanks so much. So, to be clear, the $400 you spent was taken from your $600 OBC, leaving you with $200 OBC and $400 in gift cards you could use however you wanted.

    Is that correct?

Yes and as I said I gave 1 $200 card to my daughter and see went to guest services and had it added to her sign and sail card. I ended up putting the other one on my account and at the end of the cruise I had only$68 left on my account and I went to guest services and was given that in cash. I had used all my on board credit.

So you were able to use $400 of your $600 on gift cards that you carried off the ship and left the other $200 to pay for gratuities, drinks, excursions, pictures and such?

You have to go to the service desk to have the gift cards loaded to your sign and sail account.

since its a fully accessible room you should be ok. more open floor space and all the ADA requirements.

Sometimes that doesn't work out.  I had a fully accessible cabin deck 7 on the Dream 2 years ago same area at the front end of the ship, very roomy.  Last year fully accessible cabin deck 8 on the Sunshine same area at the front end of the ship. Very tight no room to move around. The beds were positioned head to head the door was wide enough for the scooter but had to put it next to the desk or in front of the closet also had to back out of the cabin. So fully accessible does not always mean the same

  5. There is a beach near the port. But I have not been to St Maarten since the hurricane so I don't know what shape it is in. The easiest way to get to the beach is by taxi. There are nicer beaches than Maho. Dawn beach, Pinel, and of course Orient, if you don't mind the nudity. And if you are comfortable doing the local buses ( vans) go to"Back Street" and get the bus.
