  1. Travelled on Constellation in April, Singapore to Abu Dhabi but we disembarked in the penultimate port Dubai. Fabulous cruise with so many different cultures and experiences. Yes immigration was a little more challenging than in other parts of the world particularly when we disembarked a day early in Dubai but it was worth every minute! Celebrity get very short notice of immigration changes as they did when we docked in Mumbai but they handled it well.

  2. Ship : Constellation

    Cabin #: 1111

    Deck #: 11

    Class: Aqua

    Area: AFT

    Bed near: Bath

    Quiet?: Yes

    Balcony view: Unobstructed

    Balcony size: good

    Wind a problem?: No

    Soot a problem?: No

Problems/comments: Super location. End of corridor had stairs down to sunset bar and near lift stairs for one deck down straight into Oceanview cafe. Other end of corridor was a door that took you straight outside to the upper pool deck.

The only drawback was the cabin number 1111. Many crew did not lock their phones and we had numerous erroneous calls including at night. Even after mentioning to guest services it still happened. The best way to stop this is to unplug the phone from underneath it. If that is done it is a great quiet room in a fabulous location.

  3. I have just got off the Connie and resisted booking a further cruise whilst on board. The offer was 2 perks plus $200 OBC (veranda - Aqua for 10-13 nights). However I have costed the trip now I am back in the UK and am amazed that it is a better deal to book directly with X here. The only benefit of booking on board would have been a lower deposit but the holiday would have ended up costing more!

Hi! Hope you had a good trip back to the UK. We got off Connie in Dubai and stayed a couple of days. It was great to meet you.

We booked a trip for 2018 while on Connie and costed it online first. The charge was exactly the same but the benefit of doing it onboard was the reduced deposit and an extra $250 OBC making $550 in total as we took one of the perks as $300 OBC.

(For info for others......Internet is another perk offered and that is currently $319 for unlimited on board. The third perk offered is classic beverage packages for both people in the stateroom. The value of these if bought on board was $973.50 x2. )

  4. ???? The ship goes into dry dock on May 12th after it ends a cruise in Barcelona. I would assume that is when the restaurant change would be made not when it gets to Rome as there is a May 2nd cruise from Rome to Barcelona. (I'm on that cruise)

Yes definitely when it dry docks and looks like I was given the wrong port. You are correct Barcelona dry dock for 2 weeks from 12th May.

  5. I am on Constellation at the moment. They have said that Ocean Liners will be refitted to be Qsine + additional staterooms when it finishes the next cruise in Rome. This is such a shame. Once in Qsine is enough. It's a novelty not a restaurant you return to like Ocean Liners or Murano. The menu doesn't change. More money I guess from additional staterooms. :-(

  6. We had 1517 on the Eclipse and had no noise problems whatsoever. Maybe you had an extra rowdy collection of passengers on your itinerary. I'm a very light sleeper, and can always rely on my ear plugs and a sleep app on our iPad if necessary.

Good to hear! Must have been a particularly loud band on our cruise then.

  7. We have gone Aqua 5 times on the Solstice class. Three times were great (really quiet) in 1531 but on the first occasion we were further forward towards the front, 1517 I think, and were kept awake by the disco in the Sky Lounge on deck 14 above us so one to watch.

I love Blu. My husband makes up for his need of big steaks etc by us booking Tuscan Grill etc during the cruise as a change.:)

We have booked Aqua again for 2016 on Equinox but in 2017 it will be our first time in Aqua on Connie on deck 11 and now I am worried about early morning noise from the Cafe which looks to be above us. Any thoughts from anyone on Connie in Aqua before?

  8. Took this cruise last May. Crowded yes but great people watching, lots of big yachts in the harbor and exotic cars on the streets. Don't know if they offering a special expensive excursion at the Radisson but the folks we spoke to were a bit disappointed in it. We spent the evening at the bar on the Lawn. Saw the fireworks and had a great time for $600 (2 people) less than those that tendered over to the city.

We are doing this cruise in 2016. Thanks for the info. When you say you spent the evening on the lawn was that a special event on the lawn deck of Equinox? It looks like Celebrity have stopped the Radisson trip or it is full as it is not showing as an option any more for 2016 but was a few months ago.

  9. Embarkation Saturday. 2 pm original slot given then looked as may have changed to 3 pm on cruise personaliser. Arrived at 2:30 at Ocean Cruise for Britannia. Given a card. Took 1.5 hours to be called but then on ship into room and bags waiting. Debarkation this Monday (2 night cruise) given sheet with 10:20 time the night before although needed to be out of the room at 8. We were called from our allotted area at 9:50 and pick up of bags and out to our car was a dream just a few minutes. It was well organised. When we came out of the terminal people had already arrived to try and get on the ship but they weren't being let into the main area. It just caused more congestion for everyone by those turning up so early.

  10. We embark tomorrow and have been given 3 pm. We also received an email this week that told us to stick to our time but it also says...........

We are however, pleased to confirm that members of the Caribbean, Baltic and Ligurian tiers of our Peninsular Club and our Suite guests have the benefit of priority or early embarkation and are welcome to check-in from when the desk opens. They will then be boarded at the earliest opportunity.

All other aspects of the embarkation process remain unchanged. All facilities will be available and lunch will be served throughout the afternoon

  12. Ship - Eclipse

    Deck - 11

    Cabin # - 1517

    Class – Aqua

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) Very Quiet in day. Non connecting. Noisy on certain nights - see comments.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. No obstructions. Bridge quite near but didn't affect view and interesting to watch activity on the bridge when docking etc

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

    Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? See comments

Any other comments? The first night we thought someone in the cabin next door was playing loud music. It was then apparent that every time the party band played in the Sky Observation Lounge (Deck 14) (at least every 2 days) that we could hear the music two decks below which could go on until 1-2 a.m. It carried from Deck 14 thro' Deck 12 (Spa and Fitness area) to us on Deck 11. We were offered ear plugs by Guest Services. Spoiled an otherwise fabulous holiday.
