Do you know how much rain will be coming from long week of rain forecasted from 6th to the 12th and beyond depending on locale?
I would think that should bring up the gauge and keep it stable for the river cruiseships. Our AMA Siena cruise leaves on the 15th.

And our AMA Serena Leaves Amsterdam on the 19th. Let’s hope it rains a bit

I see my ship Amaserena is not moving from Basel, heading to Amsterdam. We are supposed to board on September 19. Fingers crossed there will be rain before then

Have you joined a roll call? Plenty of info there and you may find some one else has put their name down but prefers not to be on this main river cruising board.

How do you find Roll Calls for river cruises. I’m on AMA Sept 19 and not sure how to find them. Ocean cruises are much easier to find. Thanks

We are on the AMA Serena, departing Amsterdam to Basel on September 19. One month away. Hoping all things improve by then. I will keep reading and hoping.

I'm even worried and we don't sail till April.
Me too, B2B on the Apex and I’m already concerned

I believe there is in some circumstances a a concern if the two doses are more than 42 days apart.
If this is really the case, we are screwed for travel. My DH had his first AstraZeneca in April, and his second Pfizer was mid June. 73 days apart. But we had no choice in Southern Ontario.

I have a cruise in the AMA Dara April 2021 to a Vietnam and Cambodia. I want to cancel and get my full deposit back. Can anyone guide me on this? I don’t believe that Vietnam and Cambodia will be accepting cruises early next year.

Hello, you are in Ama viola and in Vienna and bound to Budapest... I have a similar itinerary in December. Hoping you did make it to Budapest and you were able to see what you wanted to see there.
With the water levels, I am curious to know if Ama covered the sightseeing with other means - bus ? When you can, will you describe your day in Vienna & Budapest ? thanks kindly
We could go no further on the Danube from Vienna, the river would not allow us to go to Bratislava and Budapest. We were bussed from Vienna to Bratislava for our tours, and today we were bussed 3 hours to Budapest for our final city tour. AMA has done a great job getting us where we needed to be, and we were on the ship 6 nights. We just have to stay tonight in a hotel. But the weather has been perfect, and we could not ask for better treatment by our Cruise Manager Dragan. He has been fantastic, getting hotels and restaurants booked for 160 passengers. I hope you have better luck in December

We are in Vienna on the AMAVIOLA. No water here. We can’t go up or down river. We were supposed to go to Budapest. Now we are bussing it. Very disappointed but it is what it is.

We are in Nuremburg and were supposed to rejoin our ship (Emerald Star) in Passau tomorrow night but because the water levels are up in the Danube we are joining it higher up stream at Regensburg early tomorrow afternoon.
Thats exciting, thanks for the update. We leave in 2 weeks for Prague!!

I'm not seeing an AMA ship in Linz right now. Hopefully it's moving now. Check out Cruisemapper, that's what I've been using. https://www.cruisemapper.com/Thanks very much. I see our ship now in Passau. :):)

I have been using the Marine Traffic App, tracking my ship. The Boats have not moved for over 2 days in the Linz area of the Danube, going towards Amsterdam. Does anyone know the status of the river at this point. We board our AMA ship in 3 weeks and it is one of the ones not moving (for 2 days and 14 hours)
-
Not worried. We didn’t expect our ship to get to Budapest and it did. At worst we will be up for a ship swap.
Not sure if AMA does the ship swap?!
-
The Danube between Budapest and Bratislava is still low with lots of sandbanks and gravel exposed.
Are the river boats getting through with the sandbanks and gravel? We sail in 5 weeks
Thanks

Hi, we are on AMA from Prague to Budapest in October. We were worried about the river levels, and hope all is well. Looks like it’s been raining, from what I am reading

A lot to read on an interesting subject. We just became diamond.

We're booked on the Anthem, I'm almost having second thoughts not on the ship but the price, I knew it was gonna be high, do you ever get that where you almost have second thoughts
I had my Anthem trip booked for September 2016, and I got an alert about a price drop. I save almost $500 Canadian.
We leave near Toronto and try to cruise out if NYC or New Jersey to save money on flights. Lots of good cruises go out of there.

We're going to enjoy our Classic package and if we decide to buy a "special" drink, we'll use the money we're saving by NOT upgrading :D
-
If you upgrade pre-cruise before April 20th, you’ll only be paying the current difference to upgrade to Premium ($10 per day + 18% gratuity).
If you upgrade pre-cruise as of April 20th or onboard as of April 6th, then you’ll be paying the new upgrade rate to Premium ($16 per day + 18% gratuity).
I will be on the Silhouette on April 12.... And I have the classic drink package
What I'm hoping you can answer for me, Celebrity, is the cost of the drinks, eg. A Mojito. Will this drink still be covered on the Classic Drink Package. Could you give me a list of the basic drinks that are covered under the Classic Package.
Thanks
-
Ah, yes that is correct. Both of mine had to be cancelled and rebooked. I wanted to do it now as there had been no price increases and the perks are still being offered.

Who do you usually book with. I'm not sure if we are allowed to post it on here or not. Is it an American travel agent?

The cost of the American dollar won't denture me from booking cruises, but, I may be cutting back on shore excursions. But even travel within Canada can be expensive, and flights from Toronto to Vancouver are pricy. Face it, travel is not cheap anymore.
One good thing, a road trip is cheaper with the cost of gas at the moment.

That is good news about the rains, although a bit of a damper for you. We board on the 19th. Let’s hope this rain helps the water levels
