  1. Ke'e and Tunnels are still currently closed due to the road conditions from the historic April 2018 flood. Both of these beaches are beautiful (Tunnels is my fav beach ever!), but please keep informed as to when they will open the road and beaches. There is supposed to be a announcement in mid May about timing.

I highly recommend Anini Beach on the north east side, before you reach Princeville, for snorkeling. It is beautiful and plenty of shade. It is protected by a reef off shore, so it makes snorkeling safe. My kids said it reminded them of a pool, but with fish. It is generally safe year round.

Make sure to eat at Street Burger in Kapa'a and get a shave ice from Hee Fat General Store. Some of my favs.

Snorkle Bob's has a location in Kapa'a, on our way north, so that might be a good option for you.

  2. Thanks so much for your complete and honest review. We are booked for the Breeze in Oct 2019 and have 11244 booked as a cabin. We had this type of cabin on the Dream last year and it was cramped when we were all in the room, but nothing that couldn't be managed. I managed by taking my showers in the huge showers in the locker rooms of the Spa. LOL  Just another perk to having a spa room!

We also have an 11 year old that was "too cool" for camp ocean last year, but we didn't give him a sign out option. We may try that as well (thanks for the tip). I am really hopeful they would let him "move up" to the 12-14 group since we are sailing when most kids are in school.

I booked the Champagne Catamaran just this week for 10% off! We are hoping to get our friends to join us on that one, so your comment about it being sold out has me worried.

  3. We booked our first Spa Balcony on 11 with our Kids on the Dream last October. We loved it so much we already have the same category booked again on the Breeze this October. I LOVE being that close to Lido, the Spa, Camp Ocean, etc.. Plus the back elevator (that most people don't know about or use) that takes you right to the spa or Serenity deck is great. I would not worry about the movement, unless you are very easily prone to seasickness. It only helps me sleep. I think you will be very happy with the 11th floor as we were.
