Going to be travelling down from North Wales the day before our cruise. Any nice places/areas to stay that anyone can recommend? Want to be within 30 minutes drive of the port our embarkation time is 11.30

Had a nightmare with it earlier this week left it a few hours tried on google chrome and seemed to be ok

Has anyone an idea of what the embarkation times are? I’m in a suite if that makes any difference. Just deciding on whether hotel is likely to be needed the night before

Update: both jabs finally put onto system correctly by GP surgery and certificate ordered phew!

Cruise is back on! 

Small update. Ordered my partners certificate today who had both jabs at same surgery and her second only last week, two minutes and done without issue so suggests an issue with the way my info has been entered.

Did get a phone call from one of the managers who explained the info is stored on a new system called WIS which he said they built in about a week!! He suggested speaking to the surgery again so that’s my next job and will be visiting there in the morning.

Also complained to the NHS and someone from the vaccine team phoned me and said they would look into it.

Trying to remain hopeful 😃

More fruitless phone calls today.

Rang P & O who won’t take letter from GP which is fair enough they have to have rules and stick by them. Said they would give me another 14 days to sort it out and allow me to change to another date for free.

Very frustrating but there are bigger problems of course.

Is there a list somewhere of what proof P & O will accept?

We sail 15th July.  Had my second jab 11th May. GP says both are recorded on their system. It’s a bit of a shambles as they keep saying it’s an IT issue!!

Just wondering if anyone else from Wales is wondering how we will provide vaccine proof. I’ve had both jabs and in Wales we don’t have the same info on the app that applies to England. 
 

There is a number to call if you need a certificate but the system only shows one jab for me and despite about ten phone calls they can’t seem to sort this issue out.

I fear I may have to cancel just because I can’t prove I have had both jabs except on the little card you get

Well just rang and gave my BLC details got a suite for £359 each rather than £679 each great offer and booked it. Apparently this large discount only available on theses UK cruises

Ferries are running from Wales to Ireland. I recently travelled from Holyhead to Dublin on Stenaline. 
 

Freight was  very busy but car/foot passengers limited. On check in we were handed a face mask and told we would be directed when to wear on board by crew. Oddly no crew were wearing masks and not once were we asked to wear them. Three and a half hours each way and not even once. They were serving food as normal.
 

Off to Barcelona tomorrow and the big ship on Sunday in relation to Marseille.

Marseille stop is Tuesday, does the free shuttle still run on that day?

I want to do the petite train tour which goes from old Port or Vieux Port, is that where the ships shuttle drops off and picks up?

thanks for the quick replies. I have cruised with Disney and it was free on there and I assumed it was the norm. Will get my son a soda package as he will love the freestyle machines but I prefer milk/water/tea anyway so will save my money.

Heading onto the Allure from Barcelona in August.

Do the free restaurants MDR, Windjammer, Park Cafe etc serve drinks with food i.e. soda, water, tea and are they free? Can you walk into any of these and just grab a drink?

I don't drink alcohol and don't think I need the soda package if these places serve drinks? and yes I am a cheapskate
