Aloha, we are booked on Ruby for Christmas 2021. We have done this cruise before and loved it. Sea days are wonderful. Like others have mentioned the Aloha ambassadors make the trip so much fun with ukulele lessons, hula and talk of the islands. We leave out of SF since we are in the bay area. Last couple of times the Aloha ambassadors have been Brian and Rowena Vasquez, they really know how to share the  Aloha spirit. If you have Facebook you can watch them live at Brian and Rowena Promotions thursdays 6pm PST. He plays uke and she hula. He also has a uke class on fb. Their show thursdays will get you in the mood for Hawaii.   From what I  understand so far excursions will have to be done through Princess. We have always rented a car and did our own thing on each island, don't think it will happen this year. The ship is decorated beautifully for the holidays. New years eve is a blast, you can pick the venue to bring in the new year or walk around from area to area. You'll learn to say Mele Kalikimaka really fast lol. Let's cross our fingers we will be sailing in Dec. 

I see you fly into Pittsburgh airport, are you anywhere close to Moon Twp?

A Christmas cruise to the islands sounds fantastic. Will you have any problems with shortened venues for Christmas Eve in Honolulu, or Christmas Day in Nawiliwili?

So far nothing said about shortening anything on those 2 days. We will be going to pearl harbor and punch bowl and that's Christmas eve. Kauai will be Christmas day, we have a car so will do our own thing.

Since we are making this cruise for Christmas this year I enjoyed reading your review. Even though we've been to Hawaii many times this is the first time cruising there.

We have made contact with Stan and look forward to meeting them.

Thanks for the info. Hope everyone is ok and can continue their cruise. We leave Monday on the STAR for AK and have this trip scheduled, one of the highlights of our trip.

My husband and I will be on a cruise in May 2014 and we were wondering anyone familiar with Northern Lights Charter in Ketchikan? He is offering a really good deal and thinking -- If its to good to be true is it good.

We are booked for salmon fishing. Would be interested in how this excursion is compared to the one the ship offers. Ship is charging $250 each
