The cabins we are looking at are not the true aft cabins. From the deck plans, the last ten cabins on either side appear to have extended/deeper balconies. Some Celebrity Ships have the last eight cabins on either side, on a certain deck, have extended balconies that are not highly publicized, and referred to on here as the Sweet Sixteen, and coveted by many cruisers. We are hoping for a similar well kept secret on Jewel.

Looking at the aft deck plans of Jewel and wondering if the cabins at the back have extended balconies. Descriptions on the deck plans don't state oversize balconies, but wondering if its a well kept secret. Looking particularly at deck 7. I have tried searching the Cabin Compilation thread with no luck. Thanks for any insight.

We will be sailing out of Amsterdam, our first time cruising this far north and we will be spending a four days in Amsterdam post cruise. I have read various threads about unpredictable weather and the need for weatherproof attire. As a person who normally needs an extra layer, I'm wondering how many layers I need to bring and how many summer outfits to take! Any advice on what to pack is greatly appreciated. Dianne
