  1. As an "older" cruiser, who is traveling alone and not cell phone savvy, I'm looking for assistance with Round Trip transfers from HOU Hobby to the Port.  RCCL cannot accommodate me as my arrival time is after 11:00 am.  It's much easier for me to book online ahead of time with a reasonably priced company.  Thank You in advance for all of your assistance!

  2. I have a group of 25 wanting to experience the waters. Most of us are older and would need the electric boats. I have tried to make contact several times but unfortunately, without any response. This is an event we do not want to miss. Does anyone know if the two companies (? names) are able to accommodate a large group?

    Thanks

  3. What a mess and why can't RCCL just give me an invoice with correct pricing?????

Booked 16 cabins for the "Once in a lifetime" Family cruise. We are from all over the country and world! Decided not to go with "groups", as they would not honor the WOW sale with the $100. OBC. Booked with an RCCL agent in order to lock in the price and the 1/2 price deposits. Of course, who knows who wants what cabin etc. so I just put names on each. Well, I upgraded a few of the inside to Balcony and not only did RCCL take away the discount, they told me they could not honor the original price as quoted by the agent, even though the price has NOT changed!! Not only all that, but the agent told me if I add another person to a single cabin, the price will go up Per person. Anyway, when I received my booking confirmation the cruise fare showed up as $1500. pp per balcony,. where it is oly 1125.pp on the website. I called RCCL and they told me the $1500. is not the price, but what they see differs from my guest copy.WHAT???

I feel like cancelling all of the bookings and starting over again.

Any Suggestions? So far, I've invested over 4 hours with RCCL and their agent(s). Any suggestions?

    THANK YOU!

    Mary

  4. Just wondering if anyone is experiencing this:

We booked while onboard and RCCL assigned us to one of their "agents" in Miami. Our sailing is currently offering a nice "upgrade" and we would like to take advantage of it before a price change takes place. However, I've emailed the assigned agent and then tried calling reservations without success. ... No response from the agent, and the times I have called the wait time has been more than 15 minutes, so I hung up.

RCCL seems to be experiencing heavy "delays" for those with existing reservations who booked with them.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank You!

  5. Yes, the internet will be the way we go. There sure IS a big difference in pricing! With free shipping and no sales tax, we are saving plenty. My husband is so very excited about this cruise, knowing he will be able to get around.

Have you been to San Juan using your scooter? The sidewalks are so narrow, we're wondering if there is room for the scooter. (He enjoys people watching and feeding the pigeons by Marshalls.)

  6. What a process! OMGosh! For the cost of the scooter, we are going to purchase it outright. These salesmen will tell you anything and everything is wonderful until comes down to the nitty-gritty...then they change their tune! I'm thankful we had somewhere to turn for assistance, people who truly care about a person and not their pocketbook!

Leaning toward the EV rider...Again, THANK YOU !!! for caring!

  7. In NY, we have Independent Health. Our physician has approved a scooter for my husband's use and apparently wrote due to specific medical issues. We were going to cancel the cruise due to my husbands inability to walk until a scooter was suggested. Now, hubby is really looking forward to our December 12th cruise. The salesman told us he will "try" very hard to get the insurance company to pay 1/2, but like ya' all said, watch out! No matter, we will make the purchase, just hope we are making the right choice.

It will be wonderful to have him finally enjoy his freedom and ability to get around!

  8. Thanks everyone for the helpful information on a scooter. My husband is in need of one and we were approved by the Dr. for a purchase. Does anyone know if a scooter is covered by Insurance? We had a salesman tell us if it is, they will only cover it if it's FDA approved. Funny, can't find any indication if approved on the portable, foldable and lightweight scooters. We leave 12/12 and must make the purchase by then. Thanks Everyone for your expert input!

  9. We are all for the new tipping policy, with one exception....The Head Waiter! On 90% of our cruises with RCCL (and we're D+) did the HW make himself available to us before the night before "tip night"! Often times we wondered why his tip was necessary.

I do believe with the new policy enforced, there will be a change of attitude in members of the crew and passengers!

    This is our 2cents!
