This sounds like a great tour. One question right off the bat....where do you meet the tour? We'll be on Harmony of the Seas, docking at the International Pier.

Good tips, especially like the cooler instead of the ice bucket in the room.

It's my understanding that on Carnival ships, your room steward will ask if you want a morning or an evening cleaning. I realize a lot of that decision depends on personal habits like if you prefer to sleep in or if you're an early riser and out the door all morning, etc. I've been thinking about which option is best, but I'd like to hear some of your thoughts as to pros and cons of each. I like to have ice in the room, so a morning cleaning would be better for that. However I like the idea of not having to vacate the room for a bit of time if we are slow to get ready on a particular day. We're out of the room in the evenings anyways. So what do you all think, and what has made you decide one way or the other?

Thanks for the update.

Does anyone know if they still have two lines, one for cash and one for credit cards to pay for the parking at the Port of Baltimore? Several years ago, the line for cash was much shorter, so many folks suggested using cash instead of credit.

I'm interested in hearing the situation w/ the fitness center too... before the recent mask changes there was policy I feel I read where if you were on a treadmill or such you could remove your mask -
I believe now, without any special carve out, masks are mandated and I feel like I've read that reservations are required to use the fitness center.
I run a lot and it's stuffy enough inside the fitness center to pound out a run without a mask; I'm thankful Oasis class ships have a decently long dedicated outside track because I know that's where I'll be getting my exercise in during my upcoming cruise.
I hear you on this one. In addition to the original question if gyms are closing, I too would like to know the status of masks and if reservations are required. I thought I read something about these things too, but can't find where. One poster did say that there weren't masks used in the gym, but that was days ago and who knows what the latest protocols are or could be.

Anyone on an RC ship right now......if there have been activities and shows cancelled on the cruise due to COVID, are they also closing the gyms? TIA

Thanks for the info, good idea to just have one person riding the shuttle back.

We're coming in a couple days early for our Jan 9 cruise into MCO and staying in Cocoa Beach. We're planning on dropping off the car at the Budget location in Cocoa Beach. I was wondering if we can drop our luggage off with a porter at the port (Harmony of the Seas) prior to returning the car so we will just have our carry on for the car rental shuttle to the port to check in. We've done this before in Ft Lauderdale, dropping luggage off at the port first, then returning the car to the airport and getting a taxi back to port.

Has anyone received this e-mail from RC who booked thru a travel agent? We're on Harmony Jan 9.

Thanks for the info, especially about the seating.

I was wondering about some of the other activities on the ship like deck activities (line dancing, ice carvings, pool competitions), demos/lectures (bartender making cocktails, cooking demos), trivia, music in venues like Dazzles, Boleros, piano bar, and then the general shows (ice show, aqua, shows marriage and game show, etc.) Also, how are they handling the gym? Are masks required like other indoor spaces, reservations required? Thanks.

My brother got it last cruise and it didn't seem worth it. Keep in mind that when a bottomless bubbles person orders a coke they open up the can and pour 3/4 of it into a glass with ice. They save the last 1/4 of the can for the next bottomless bubbles purchaser. I got an entire can just plain ordering a soda. I don't like that about the program.
Do you know if they do this same thing with the sodas if you have the Cheers program? Or will they give you the whole can and not pour it into a glass? I've read different things on the boards, and they seem to contradict each other. Thanks

Thanks for the information, but I wanted to clarify a few things. So you are saying that the regular check-in line blocked the entrance to the priority (platinum, FTTF, suites) check-in doors and in order to get in the priority entrance you had to fight through those in the regular check-in line? When was your boarding information checked for priority and was the priority entrance clearly marked? Thanks.
Thanks for the good information. Just to clarify....is FTTF considered "priority"? So if the line is out the door and around the building, should FTTF passengers cut the line like a platinum person would to get to the priority boarding entrance?

Thanks everyone.

I've read that Carnival serves sodas on the Bubbles package by the glass, I'm assuming they won't give you a can if you wanted to take it back to your cabin. (Can someone confirm that?) But I was wondering how they serve them on the Cheers package....do they only serve by the glass or can you get an unopened can?

Thanks for the excellent review. It will be our first time on Pride in May 2017. One question about the gym....did the individual machines (like the ellipticals) have their own TV with stations to select from?
