  1. You gals are lucky!! My hubby won't Gert me a scooter for a cruise. After all the Hassel from walking people he's afraid I'd run someone over!! Just be careful of people stopping for no reason. I use a regular wheelchair for cruises. I bought a scooter from a friend for $500. Just got lucky! I'm going in October on the horizon. Have a great cruise! Don't forget break horn!! I've used care vacation for years and haven't had any problems

  2. I cruise with my DW. She's in a wheelchair and they totally ignore us! We've done 15 cruise's half with a wheelchair. On sail always the turn around when they see us!! Nothing like feeling like a leaper!! Whatever we take our own FREE pictures!! Lol!! Happy sailing!!

  3. Not sure what companies you checked with but my wife has MS and we usual rent a wheel chair wide for comfort from Care Vacations great rates and insurance and service so that if it breaks the meet you and provide a new one never had any issues with them we usual come in a day earlier use the wheel chair service at the airports and when we arrive at our hotel of choice it is waiting when were heading home we just leave it in the cabin and the cruise provides a wheel chair service on and off the ship

  4. Were leaving on the first cruise after dry dock in September 2012 can not wait we have 8 people joining us 5 have never sailed before so this will be intresting. My question is there a elevator to the pasta bar my DW is in a wheel chair and we wanted to try this first, also is it easy to maneuver a wheel chair aroun on The Dream. i would appericate the info if anyone has any:cool::D;)

  5. Sailed with a friend we each had our own cabin we were on The Carnivale we were 19 and eager to get drunk:o boy we did i remember we paid cash and we also were never carded EVER it was 4 days to Nassau and Freeport it bite me and has stayed with me. I will throw this question out to everyone.... does anyone remember the BOOKLETS that Carnival would send out and in that book was all your documents. The Carnival i remember was a neat old ship but tiny.for college kids it was GREAT FUN!!!!:):D

  6. ** To REALLY be a "Cruise Critic" one has to critically evaluate all aspects of cruising. I am all for sticking with a cruise line if it is offering all that you feel you need. Just keep your mind and eyes open and don't blow off the possibility of change down the road. At one point I was a hard core advocate of "sailing only with Carnival". Perhaps I have mellowed with age!

Tom i agree i have only sailed on Carnival my whole life but looking at loyalty perks of other lines i'm starting to think maybe it is time for a change we will be PLANTIUM as of 9/2012 sailing so i guess i will see what happens then:):D
