  1. Taking sides here is pointless speculation since we haven’t seen the actual language in NCL’s offer. Common sense says that they reduced the cruise fare commensurate with the shortened cruise length so that people weren’t paying a 7 day fare for their 5 day cruise. Without seeing the actual language, I can’t conclude that this could also be treated as a 2 day refund for no shows.

DOS has a ginormous balcony overlooking the pool deck.  The living room is very spacious as is the suite's dinning room and dinning room table.  Dressing room is also large. As has been said, the master bathroom very big and the secondary one is toilet and sink only. For the extra cabin room (4 adults), toss a coin to see who uses the shower in Haven's pool or fitness center.

OP asked about the Getaway. This description is not accurate on that ship.

  3. The 2 bedroom includes two bedrooms (one large, one tiny) and two full bathrooms (one large and one tiny, but both have showers), in addition to the living room. The deluxe owners suite has one bedroom and huge full bathroom, as well as a half bath and living room.  The 3rd and 4th guests sleep in the living room and don’t have a full bath.

    Can you tell my preference?

  4. 1.  The concierge on the Breakaway registered us in advance for a “Paint By U” session, much to the annoyance of some of the many people who lined up early but still couldn’t get in to the very limited seating event.

    2. When we were wrongly accused of skipping the muster drill and told to show up for a make up drill, the concierge told us that he would take care of it and we didn’t have to attend.  (We really did attend the first one, but there must have been a problem with the card swipes.)

  5. From what I’ve read here, it can’t happen at the port, because it’s not staffed by NCL personnel. It won’t happen on the ship because they have signs that say they are sailing full and because the upgrade process fills the higher level cabins.

Now, you can spend your first day standing on the long line on board at guest services to pursue this. You will join the hordes of people with their day one problems (cash account issues, non-working room cardkeys, etc.) Then you can join the complainers about these long lines and the slow customer service on board.

  6. I believe that the absence of trays is to discourage passengers from taking more food than they will likely eat.

    Also,

I don’t think trays are tacky.

I don’t think the buffet is tacky.

On many occasions I watched crew members assist those who were unable to handle getting their own food.

  7. I used to have a great marked up map of the walk from Warwick (?) to Horseshoe Bay provided by a wonderful cc'er. Does anybody have it?

For anyone interested, it's a nice easy hike. You can take the bus from the Dockyard past Horseshoe, then take this pretty walk back.

  8. The issue was Bigfoot came late to their own meeting and need some one else to blame for it.

Note: If Your the host show up early.

    .

And don't arrange the M&G if you're not going to do the necessary follow up and confirmation. It's not fair to the rest of the group.

  9. A phone rep today told me that the water/soda ban was for security reasons because of, you know, terrorism. I pointed out that there is no ban on other liquids, including shampoo and wine. She insisted that they open the wine bottles in the terminal before boarding to check on their contents. WHA???????

  10. 1. Lili Bermuda perfume purchased at Bermuda Perfumery in St. George.

    2. Swizzle Inn t-shirt (Swizzle Inn, Swagger Out).

    3. Hand painted coffee mugs from the Dockyard craft market with images of local flowers (Bermudiana).

  11.

It would have been nice if there was somewhere on the ship to get the ferry and bus schedules for Bermuda. We didn't seem to be able to find them until after we got off of the ship and to the dockyard. it would have saved us quite a bit of headaches in planning getting around Bermuda.

You have to remember that this was the first Bermuda cruise of the season. They hadn't yet been to the port to pick them up. I think they will have the schedules from now on. I got mine off the internet before we left and I think the "shopping consultant", who gave a talk on Tuesday, had the info this way, as well.

  12. These days, with the multiple promos for Haven guests, there is little feeling of nickel and dining. Between the dining and beverage packages and the Internet deal, i ended up with almost no additional onboard expenses. There was no push to any higher priced meals or drinks.
