  1. Hereare my tips . . . If you have purchased a photo package go pick up the VIP card soon after you board.

Take a walk to your assigned dining room to locate your table . Approach the Matre D if there are any problems or concerns . If you wait until dinner time you are less likely to have your table reassigned .

Pack your swim suit in your carry on , or wear it under your clothes so you can swim or sunbathe while the pool area is less crowded.

Make your show reservations for the week using the MSC for Me app.

Don't stand in a long line to register your credit card . You have up to 48 hrs to do this and the kiosks are virtually unused on the second day .

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for - inside information lol! Some great tips, especially the registering the credit card and booking the shows.

Getting excited can’t believe i’ve got 5 weeks to wait ;p

  2. We are sailing on Seaside on 26th May and have been reading lots things we should do when we first board such as register for kids club and the water slides.

So I am hoping all you lovely people out there in cruise critic land could help me with hints and tips of what we need to do when we first board to make this the best cruise ever.

    Thanks

  3. We are on a forth coming cruise on MSc Seaside which calls at Ocho Rios and wondered whether it’s possible to walk to Dunn’s River falls rather than an organised trip? We are a fairly adventurous couple who prefer to be explore on our own and saw that it’s only about 5km from the port, which for us is no issue but I suppose it depends on what the pathways are like. Many thanks.

  4. I have seen all the amazing posts about the MSC status match but just wondered what evidence you supplied when applying for the match.

On the form it says you need a copy of your membership card for the other loyalty scheme. We are RCCL crown and anchor members but can’t recall ever having a membership card or if ever did it’s been lost a long time ago! Does anyone know if they accept anything else as evidence to prove your membership level?

    Many thanks

  5. We are thinking about booking th airboat excursion offered by Msc on disembarkation day in Miami but am worried about getting to the airport on time afterwards.

Has anyone done a disembarkation day excursion? How did it go? What time did you get to Miami International Airport? As we don’t fly until 17:40 it’s going to be a long day with our luggage if we don’t do something but we are the type of family that like to be at the airport with plenty of time to spare and don’t want to risk missing our flight back to Heathrow.

    Many thanks for any help.

  6. So last year on our Med cruise my eldest child was 11 but looks 14 and would be quite mature. She really didn't want to be in the kids club with her younger brother as she had last year. She knew what to expect and was too old for a lot of the activities.

I met a lovely kids club leader at check in and she allowed Jem to join the 12-14 year olds club. She did have to ok it with the leader who ran the 12-14 group but it was no problem.

She had a ball with kids who were more likeminded.

    Hope this helps.

Oh Kizzabel that is really reassuring, it would make his holiday if he could join that group rather than the younger kids! Thank you so much :D

  7. Hi, my son will be almost 12 when we sail on Seaside next May and I just wondered if anyone knows how strict they are on the age restrictions for the kids club? My son hates Lego, is very sporty and old for his age so would fit better with the older kids club (12-14) rather than the one he is supposed to be in, I really want him to get the most from his holiday and I think he will be bored in the age appropriate kids club.

    Many thanks
