  1. Thanks Gambee for another awesome review. Your photos were stunning. Thanks for putting the time into the videos. I would love to do a Disney cruise but it would have to be with my kids. No way could I go without them. Maybe one day we will all go. If only I could will the lottery!:D I think DH and I will be booking the inaugural 5 night Royal Princess, end of October, for DH’s birthday. My first time on a Princess cruise. I am not sure what to expect as I am a loyal RCCLer. I was hoping you would experience it before me so I could get your perspective on this ship. I loved reading your Allure review before we cruised on her. It really helped make our cruise! Looking forward to your next adventure Gambee! Keep posting your reviews! I really, really enjoy them!

  2. Hi Gambee and Gambee’s Mom! Just went lurking to see if you were getting ready to board Carnival Breeze. Imagine my surprise when I saw your new review on Disney. I am signed in to see and read about all your adventures. I really laughed when I saw the picture of your Mom with crab leg spilling. The more things change..the more they stay the same lol. Thanks for the video of the cabin. Would this cabin hold a family of 5? Is there a pullman? I like the bathroom set-up.

On a serious note, I am very sorry to hear about your loss of Milo. I too had to put down my dog Higgins because of a tumour on his spine. His was located at the top of the spine and was blocking his airway. It was such a hard decision to make but it was the right thing to do. No animal should suffer. Keep good memories in your heart and the pain will get better.

You said you have some health concerns. I hope nothing too serious so you can get right back to cruising!!

  3. Gambee thank you so much for your time and effort for both the Celebrity review and the Allure review. I enjoyed both so much. I agree that Allure is so amazing and I wonder if we will find another ship that will match it (Quantum?). I think Celebrity will be a great product to try for my husband and I to either Alaska or Europe. We will stick to family cruising and Caribbean cruising in general on newer RCCL ships or perhaps maybe NCL Breakaway. Our family is anxiously waiting your review on this new ship. It may indeed be our next family vacation this summer. Have an amazing cruise on the Breakaway!!! I know I will be hearing from you soon.:D

  4. I remember you :-), how you been? I am glad you like the start. I had hoped to have today off from work to get some actual work started. The good news is that I managed to scan all the documents already :-).

I’ve been fantastic. Hubby and I went on the Allure just after your review was posted. We had the most amazing time. We caught ourselves many times saying Gambee said to do “this” and Gambee said to do “that”. Your postings on menus really helped us to plan for our cruise. Thank you so much! I remember telling you that you have such an artistic flair..both writing and photography. Have you found your new job in this field yet? I really hope so!

  5. We are actually in the RLS tomorrow on Oasis. For our family of 5 double the price of the ATS, give or take a bit. A wonderfully amazing room, with a crazy price:eek: we had it last year on the July 4th sailing and it was almost the same for 4 people.

We have seen it priced on line for as low as $14,000 for a double occupancy. All depends luck and time of the year.

    Enjoy!! Sounds Awesome!

  6. Just off Allure February 3. Loving your review and wishing I was still on board. We had an amazing time and we too never entered the MDR. Also really enjoyed your Europe review. Trying to convince DH to book for Europe. No luck so far. I keep telling him to read your Europe review because I know he’ll want to go. He knows he will want to go too if he reads your review, so he hasn’t read it yet. (LOL)

  7. We have 6 of us on the Freedom in May and have discussed it and will all be purchasing the beverage package. Mostly because we want to not have to worry about the bill at the end....we will at least have a good idea of what we will be spending on alcohol, AND with 3 couples, it's easier to ask for a round of drinks from the waiter and not worry about who's picking up the tab for each round.

We are all drinkers, especially on vacation and would spend about $100/day per couple at the bar anyway, so why not just pre-pay and not worry about it. That's how we are going into it and are planning on really enjoying this first "drinks included" cruise.

Just remember you can’t order “a round” of drinks...you may only order 1 drink at a time. You have to get everyones seapass cards together before you make the trip to the bar.

  8. What a great mom! April 6th is my brother’s birthday as well. So looking forward to your review of Celebrity. It would be great to have the comparison of a Solstice class ship and the Allure. My husband and I struggled with the decision to book Allure or Celebrity S-class cruise. We were wondering if it would be too quiet for us. We have been on Freedom and Oasis with our 3 kids but have yet to do a cruise with just the two of us. We decided on the Allure for January 27 (54 more days.....but who’s counting?:D). We are planning on spending a lot of time in the adults only solarium. Thanks to your totally awesome Allure review I am so excited I can’t think of anything else.

Celebrity has a great premium drink package. Royal is now also offering a drink packaged. In my opinion it is not so great when compared to Celebrity. Any thoughts on the new Royal drink package? Would you and your Mom have made use of it if it were offered on your cruise on the Allure?

Look foward to hearing from you again in April!!! I will be watching the Celebrity boards!

Thanks for all the cruise compass’ in one location. They have been a great reference for us!
