Either is good.
Thank you! I was just confused because on the RC app it says “Remember, you must bring your original travel documents to the port” just above where you can press “View SetSail Pass”. I guess that’s referring to my passport?
-
Do we need a PRINTED Setsail pass? Or can we just use the one I can show them on my iPhone and have them scan that bar code?

Any recent news about Divi? Also interested in possibly taking a taxi there from Phillipsburg after our jet ski tour around 1pm. How long should someone plan as far as time for the taxi back to a 5pm all aboard?

Reviews on Trip Advisor indicate it has reopened. And is in excellent shape with excellent service. No idea if they offer day passes as reviews are from staying guests, but imagine you can email the resort and ask. Think they are on FB as well.
Thank you!

I have been looking at prior Compasses and don’t see any movies at the Aqua Theater. Has anyone been on Symphony lately and found movies during the cruise? It looks like they were running them when Symphony was first put in service. Are they running something else on the screens there when Hiro isn’t happening?
Thank you!!

Conclusions
The Symphony of the Seas is an amazing ship that can certainly entertain for a week regardless of your age. But, you might want to have a look at the schedule. Some ports are better than others. Also, if you have ever considered springing for a suite, you should. Im not saying the value is there, but it certainly makes for an amazing trip if you can swing it. Of course, if you feel like dialing back on the costs, there are plenty of other options available - but that is another review that I do not have the experience to give.
Questions
Have you found service lacking because of number of staff on Royal's megaships?
If you have been able to use the concierge service, are they all equally good on this class of ship?
Is there anyone out there who actually likes Jamie's?
Am I wrong about Coco Cay?
Please let me know below.
Thank you for your review! We were initially booked on this cruise, but had to reschedule to October. We’re staying in a CLS for the first time and am curios which one you were in. We’re in 1704. How big was your balcony? Was there room for 2 loungers or any other furniture on the balcony? Thanks!

We were approached whilst we were eating lunch in the Windjammer.
The guy was dressed in a Chops Grille waiters uniform holding the menus and a reservation form.
We did not see it happening on other parts of the ship but from reading other posts it obviously does.
I might add that we had no intention of buying a package as we’ve always been extremely happy with the MDR offerings but at those prices thought the deal was to good to refuse and so it proved.
From our experience the selling of dining packages seems to be more active on embarkation day.
Just what I was looking for, thank you!

As far as I can remember any restaurant.
We dined at both Chops Grille and 150 Central Park.
The deal was offered to us whilst having lunch in the Windjammer on embarkation day about 12 noon.
There were four in our party and we all thought both restaurants meals and service were excellent.
We dined in Chops Grille on night one and in 150 Central Park I believe it was in night four or five.
Thank you so much for your information! Did someone walk up to you while you were eating at a table? Or did they approach you when you walked in or were deciding on your food? And was the person carrying anything that might give away that this is a person making these offers? Sorry last question 😬 did you see this happening anywhere else on the ship?
Thank you again!! I really appreciate it!

one of our enablers... I mean bartender last night. They had some appies there as well, but after all the wings Lisa wasn’t hungry.
the DJ that kept the party rockin.
We met this mom and daughter from Chicago at Hibachi the other night. They are in all white. We gave them a cabin tour the night before last and took a couple awesome pics of them on the balcony and on the stairs.
They were gonna have fun with the family at home, like free cabin upgrade or found a new man. 😉
we caught up with and danced with them for a while. I gave her my bling ring and said you can also say your new man gave you something flashy. They are an absolute blast.
What are those shots? They look yummy! Loving your report! Will be on Symphony in a couple weeks in 1704. Can’t wait to stay in a CLS L1! Thank you so much for your efforts!

We were again offered 50% off of the regular price on board Symphony by the waiters whilst having an early lunch in the Windjammer on boarding day.
Was that at any restaurant? Or one in particular? Thank you!

Does anyone have any experience to share on the Symphony?

Has anyone been to this one? I’ve seen talk of Kontiki and Bikini beach clubs, but not about LaPlaya. It’s apparently a hotel but I’ve heard you can go there and rent a chair and umbrella and I’ve heard good things.
If anyone one has been there since the hurricane, I would love to know if my info is correct? Are the prices the same as the others? And where is it compared to the others?
Thank you!!

Hi!
We are cruising next month on Symphony and will have a large OBC from our travel agent. Is there a difference in price on this package if I wait until I board (when I will have access to our OBC) verses the price of $99 on the Royal website right now?
Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

So I just found out that my September cruise conflicts with my soon to be freshman college son’s Parents Weekend! We were going on the Symphony of the Seas in a Crown Loft suite to San Juan, Saint Martin, and Labadee. A big splurge for our “empty nest cruise”! If anyone has any suggestion for another cruise to consider leaving the weekend of the 7th or 14th that is a big, fun ship with lots to do and a bonus would include San Juan or Saint Martin. I’ll even take suggestions for similar ships (non Royal) to look into, fyi I have already looked at the other Oasis class ship itineraries.
Any and all assistance truly appreciated! Thank you!

Thank you very much for doing this! I can’t quite read some of the daily planners so I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind checking to see if there were martini classes on Symphony? Thanks again!!

Just returned from a great week on the Dawn in suite 10000. Just wanted to let those who are light sleepers like I am that I could hear the walking around above us in the bridge. I brought earplugs and they did the trick! And the other 3 in my suite never even heard the walking around, but they are heavier sleepers than I am.
So if you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs and you won’t have any problems!

Just off the Dawn today, stayed in forward penthouse suite 10000. The room is great, very spacious and loved the big “bay” windows. The deck is large enough for 2 chaise loungers, 2 regular chairs and a small side table, also has a partial overhang from the bridge above as mentioned which was nice for both shade and somewhat minimizing wetness of the chaises when raining. Sitting on that deck our second to last day was like heaven! Unfortunately, the last day was extremely windy and chilly so didn’t get to use it.
Worth noting, if you are a light sleeper, you can definitely hear the walking around that happens up in the bridge directly above you. It’s not really loud, just there, if you know what I mean. I brought ear plugs, wore them and never heard the walking once I put them in, so slept soundly without issue. All this being said, the other 3 in my family never even noticed it, but they are heavier sleepers than I am. ;)
Great suite!

From my searches, it looks like the TBI plans that used to be available for pay in the Dockyard are no longer available.
Other than buying an international plan with my carrier AT&T for $10 (I think) a day, I understand the free WiFi opportunities in the Dockyard are at the Frog and Onion and the Visitor Center.
Any others? Thank you!

It is our favorite too. There or the garage. We got there at 8:45 on May 4th and drove right in.
Signs everywhere. I’ve been watching the ship’s bow cam and this lot hasn’t been filling up. Even when they leave there’s still spots open. That might change.
When we returned to Boston we were some of the first passengers off and the lot still had many openings.
The satellite lot and shuttle sounds horrible. You probably have to sit there until the bus fills up.
Great information, thank you! How do I find the ship's bow cam online? Would love to be able to check that before we leave. :)

We parked in the open air lot - 12 Drydock Ave - it is straight ahead after you drop off your luggage. 5 minute walk - $175 for the week. We got there around 10:40, no problem getting in. Plenty of parking.
Thank you so much!
How chilly is the Symphony?
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
So I tend to run cold and always bring a sweater or something light with me to dinner during the summer in case the air conditioning is cranking and makes me uncomfortably cold. How cold do they keep the inside of the Symphony? You know what I mean, right? Have any of you who have sailed her ever thought to yourselves, “it’s cold in here”? Trying to finish my packing!
Thank you!
