    Lifeguards ??? Really ?? I am on vacation if i was to drown on vacation , that would be better then drowning in my hottub at home ! Where are the parents for lil kids ! I have gone in many a times for my own kid and others if i seen disstress !

    We did the magnets on the walls .. good suggestion for hanging small items. Like room keys.

     

    We used a magnet marker board for communicating, Being we had Cruisers in training we put on outside of door. But being spring break we got lots of messages not written by us.. Also the magnets on the doors along with the magnet board all got borrowed never to return again.

     

    Overall I would Cruise Royal Oasis Of the Seas again. Cause there are no other massive ships leaving Tampa Currently.

    Food: Filled us up. Did windjammer few nights , for lunch and breakfast . few times the best Roast beef sandwiches board walk café. This place should be bigger and open late night ...i.e. good food, nice to get while walking outside ..

     

    Johnny Rockets Tried it one night for dinner . wouldn't do again.

     

    MDR; Service was spectacular , food was good , just dinner , not really willing to bring home or lleft overs .

     

    The late night thing I get it!!!... Pizza is good for one or 2 nights .. but again I am old school , I miss walking the pool deck at midnight with cheese, or fruit before bed . and by the time I am dwn on deck five that's like 10 floors away from the pool deck?

     

    Did the drink refreshment , and bought liquor on urge .. Was hoping for a few Barista drinks , but always , always, always a line at café .. or a barista machine.

    We were amazed at the ship, this ship was choosen due to proximity to Michigan and the hype behind it. We quickly found out we would not be able to find all the hidden periscope arts. For how many people are stowed away on it weekly she is in great shape.

     

    Lodging : was the oversized Balcony , standard room with bigger balcony , 2 chairs and Table. I don't see how a lounger with it is not standard equipment. Room stewart was ok . I kept asking to let the towel animals out of their cages, think we only got 3 for the week. Had tried passing money for more , didn't help? MAYBE NEXT ROOM STEWART !!

     

    Coffee : drove me nutz !!! I mentioned this in my cruise review and sent mail to Royal offices. I am also sure that a few whitees(officers) heard what I was telling them! I didn't listen to the posts here. I was up 5:30am ready to view the sunrise at the pool deck like I normally do , grab my coffee and see where the views take me .. After 4 laps around the ship , only place found to find coffee was cafe promenade at 6:30 am( cause I was walking thru all the neighborhoods ) assuming they'd have a coffee station at all. rrrggghhh I have to stop about the coffee!! except for the other people that read about it here and listened .. they brought thermos.. Really WHY!!

     

    Shows : The new concept I am really challenged with . I am old school 2 dinner times, 2 show times , always room for everyone. This ship is not the case. As the week went on, I found that all the shows can be viewable, just have to be willing !! and unexpecting to jump in and wait for space.

    Cats we all did not see.. Aqua show was awesome. and all shows were packed including 7th floor. Belly flop and the superman Dad won!!!! Promenade shows were good , Ritchy was awesome like he always has been . He really needs his own show, Seen him twice on NCL, He is a big laugh when he owns the stage. The Russian acrobats are talented. I didn't care for Elvis . but the Kid did and went for front row seats with the Cruisers in training, and now they all have clothes they will never wash , and videos that have been locked on flashdrives .. How do Girls get hyper about that!!!!???

    Hello all,

     

    Took 7 day On Oasis of the Seas . Travel With Myself (52) wife (30 plus a few), and daughter (13). Also went with a family of 4 in training for Cruises (first). Thanks to all that have posted info before .

     

    Drove to Canaveral from Michigan want to do another straight thru. Night before stayed at hotel near port , walked to port in morning and watched all three ships come in for docking !! awesome port for doing this. Dinner to watch the ships leave is awesome also.. As always RonJons got some donations from us. So they should be open for a few more months. Bought some fun door magnets , but more on that later.

     

    Left Hotel 12noon, on the ship by maybe 1pm, parked onsite , slow motion parking , but that's expected for 6000 people boarding. As Diamond members We barely had time to look around the building before boarding the ship. We did get out picture taken. The daughter was ansee to get on the ship , but we got her to take a Picture with us.

    Howdy , just a normal cruiser . Not able to comment on rooms for the few. But liked the ship . Breakfast under the canvas in morning! A real pool . Not crowded. Would go on again if on east coast and affordable .

    Sun got moved and replaced with the constantly broken star . The star made the 7 day cruise . But didnt like pool . Too many tight spots . In corridors . Every sun deck was uncomfortable with fish bowl feeling !! And the slides were stupid !

     

    Sun is a great ship ..

    rough conditions

    I watched the cams yesterday . Weather reminded me of last year when that one ship docked in Bermuda with the bent bow.

     

    Was impressive watching the tug being used as a bumper in Nassau with a Carnival ship. Was listening in waiting for a crushing/crunching sound... Then I could see the Big plume of black smoke horsepower saving itself.

     

    I also watched departure for the Majesty of the seas , in Port Canaveral. Looked like the Tugs tyed to the cleats on the side of the ship. Bow and Aft and had to pull it off the wall. They pulled it all the way to the other side of the canal before untying. Making sure it had enough time for forward momentum to keep from crashing into the ship parked in front of it.

    Port Canaveral is 45 min from the port. For me Orlando/Disney is an option. But i like the area where the ship is. Cocoa beach area is fun and i like RonJons. Space center if you havent been before. Party boat fishing . Jetty park watch ships go in and out from the beach. If u have auto , quick trip to Daytona beach could create bragging options.
