I just did the Baltic cruise in May and we had two days St Petersburg. I wish we had 3 days. There is so much to see. You don’t have to go into a Berlin if you don’t want. We stayed in Rostock which is cute walkable town and had a great day.

They will let you drop the travel agent with good cause. I had very similar situation and they removed the travel agent and took the reservation back to RCCL. I had to send the request in writing to agencychanges@rccl.com it takes a few days. Given you situation I would also speak a Supervisor at RCCL as soon as possible so that they don’t drop your reservation.

When are they normally offered on 14 day cruises?

I’m in a wheelchair and travel to Italy often. The scooter is good for the shop but it you really want to Maximize what you can see and do in port I would rent a foldable Manila wheelchair particular if you have someone to push you. A school is heavy and less portable. A manual wheelchair can be folded and fits into most trunks. I have done all of those ports of call in a manual wheelchairs. The more compact the the better as some door ways are small.

I agree with OP poster. I have a travel agent that made me lose a huge price drop because it took her 3 days to check. Sometimes she responds to email right always and sometimes it takes her multiple days, not counting the weekend. On previous cruises she has said we are getting a bottle of wine on board and never do. We leave on our cruise soon but have another scheduled for November. I have OBC on the one next month that is not appearing on my set sail pass but the Agent keeps saying it will be there when I board. If we have any issues I’m taking the November cruise from the TA.
I understand they get a commission but it’s Commission for service not for doing nothing. Like the poster I usually book the cruises on board then transfer to agent so the work done is minimal.
I wish there was a list somewhere of good TAs that were responsive and brought benefit to the clients.

From communicating with some your operators in SPB the Faberge museum has an elevator but it is often out of order.

Yes they are for everyone but it is a nice courtesy when others are considerate.

I have been to all of the islands you mention except St. Kitts. We did the ABC cruise on the Navigator in December. Though the ABC have beautiful beaches and we enjoyed our trip, the islands in the ABC are all very similar with Aruba having more action. Reading what your desires are, I would go with the Eastern Caribbean. I think you will get a bigger variety of cultures, food, and scenery on that cruise. The ABC islands are flat and arid. You will find beautiful beaches on either itinerary. I think you should do what someone suggested and google images of the individual islands. Once you do this I think you will prefer the Easter Caribbean as it matches more to what you have described.

I’m in a wheelchair and have no choice but to use the elevators. I also know that there are some people who seem able bodied that have to use the elevator due to health issues. What I don’t agree with is people’s lack of consideration for others. If I have companions with me and when they see elderly people or people with walking issues they give them their spot in the elevators and my companions take the stairs. There have been many kind people that see me and give me priority on the elevator. I have also seen many inconsiderate groups of people jump in the elevator even if I was waiting before them and I have to wait for the next elevator. Yes someone in that group might have been one of those people who seem able bodied but really require the elevator due to health issues but I really doubt everyone in that group was in that situation. I’m young and in good health other than being in a wheelchair I give elderly people on walkers or people with problems walking priority on elevators as I know they probably have difficulty standing and there are usually no chairs or benches by elevators. We all need to use common sense and have some consideration for others. None of us are perfect and we do and say things sometimes without thinking but we should all make an effort to be more aware of our surroundings and considerate of others.

We did it on the Navigator for Christmas. I do not think it is worth the price. The food they served was the same that they were serving for free for lunch in the main dining room. They said there would be steak and there wasn’t. The galley tour is a quick walk through and there were so many people on the tour that you could barely here and those in the back could not see. There are bottomless mimosas out on trays which you can get yourself but if you have the drink package then these are free anyways.

Hello! I will be on a Baltic Cruise with my parents for Mother’s Day and I was wondering if RC does anything special for the moms on board. Any experiences?

We are doing a Baltic Cruise in May and Rostock is one of the stops. We don’t want to spend 3 hours going 3 hours coming back from Berlin. Has anyone just hung out in Rostock? Is there anything to do? I have checked Trip Advisor but there is limited information.

I was on the Navigator over Christmas and asked on the first day about the tapas. The bartender said they would between 5 and 7 starting in the second day but I never saw any when I went back the other days.

Can the dining packages be used for lunch on sea days instead of dinner? I enjoy dining in the MDR but am not the biggest fan of the WJ for lunch.

When they say the deposit is on-refundable, does that preclude you from switching the ship or date of the cruise you book or just from getting your money back? I will be on cruise in December and want to book a European cruise for 2019 but those schedules are not out yet. I already have one booked for 2018.

Thanks to everyone for the great information. I will definitely keep an eye out for price drops. Right now it is running for 225 on my cruise planner.

We will be visiting Labadee on a Christmas Cruise and we were considering renting a bungalow in order to guarantee us a shaded places to relax. I began researching this last night but as I saw pictures it seems that the roof of the bungalows is not solid and that the sun comes through. If what we are looking for is some shade, will the bungalows provide it? What has been the experience of people who have rented these?

Thanks! I remember last year we booked in January and they were having the free drink package promotion plus the price for our September cruise never went down after that so I was hoping for a similar sale this year. I know it is just wishful thinking!

So the current RCCL cruise ends tonight supposedly. I know sometimes people post here what the next sale will be. Does anyone currently have any insight as to what the next sale might be?

Help please hotel and flight planning
in Australia & New Zealand

We (3 travelers) are doing a cruise from Sydney to New Zealand in November 2018. I checked many websites and hotels versus rentals. The best budget option I could for Sydney putting location into consideration was an apartment I found in Air...b...nb. Total $175 a night versus mediocre hotels around for 250-350 a night.
