  1. From 2008 to 2016 we have cruised from Boston to Bermuda on the Dream, Spirit & Dawn. We took 2017 off because we are doing the Pride of America Hawaiian cruise this year. Next year in 2019 or 2020 we are thinking about cruising back to Bermuda, however the number of cruises in September and October are (either or), almost nil during September and October. Does any know why NCL is cutting the number of cruises? NCL cannot claim that they are not sailing full out of Boston.

NCL does a New England/Canada cruise out of Boston during Sept/Oct instead of Bermuda

  2. Check out Iceland Air - not positive if they service Boston, but they are billing themselves as a budget airline to Europe, and depending on the days, the flights can be pretty reasonable.

Iceland air does fly out of Boston everyday......I use them all the time, very reasonable prices......

  3. Great photos and great review. Thank you. Hubs and I are on this cruise in September. I can't wait. We found flying to CPH from Houston to be very expensive. So we are flying into Brussels and then from BRU to CPH. About $200 less per person total and we get a couple of days in BRU.

If you are spending a few days in Brussels make sure you visit Brugge it is a very lovely town, you will feel like you are back in the 1940's

  4. I used them last year on Royal for my mom and they were great. When we got to the room at 1 it was already there and when we disembarked we left it in the room. We had no issues at all.

I, too, have used them for my Mom and they were great. Was in the room when we arrived and when we disembarked we left it there in the room. Had no problems and it was great to have. :)

  5. I never thought of the platforms/rigs in the gulf. Yes, that would be interesting to see. We have booked Los Lobos for dinner because I read that the view is good from there.

We are also on deck 9.

Anyone know how long we are on the river before the gulf?

I've done this cruise 3 times.....It usually takes 6-8 hours to cruise down the Mississippi and then you'll enter the gulf.....the oil platforms are nice to see at nite......

  6. The Kennedy Space Center is so worth seeing - really amazing. We took the ships excursion and you get to see much more going with them. And if you are worried about the timing - then the excursion through the ship - is best. Enjoy - there is so much to see - hope you love it as much as we did.

  7. The Baltic Captials is a great cruise as well!
The Baltic Capital Cruise is truly a great cruise - it covers six different countries - Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Russia, Finland and Sweden.

You are able to get down to Berlin, Germany if you choose or if you stay at the port itself - it is delightful. Helsinki, Finland and Tallin, Estonia are two charming countries - the old time charm and amazing with their history. St Petersburg, Russia ( a two day stay) is beyond belief. You wouldn't be disappointed at all and again so much history. Sweden is beautiful and again won't disappoint - There is a very old ship there - not to be missed (sorry but the name escapes me at the moment - starts with a V if I remember correctly.) Copenhagen has so much to offer - Tivoli Gardens is a must. We really enjoyed the Baltic Capital cruise and have taken it twice and hope to take it again in the future - it is that interesting. Peter and Carol

  8. Just booked this cruise - Boston to Boston Via seven Islands in the Caribbean. October 26th, 2018 for 14 days. Have three other cruises scheduled before this one and look forward to each one of them. Love cruising !!!

  9. Doug, that would be beer left over from European production. We were recently on Harmony of the Seas shortly after her TA and we had remaining product with that style of writing. I would guess that Dawn returned recently from a European TA?

LOL, I've always been frond of as nice aft too.:)

The Dawn does not do a European T/A or European itinerary...has done the boston to Bermuda run in the spring to fall and then repo down to NOLA for the past 6 years......the writing on the beer tho is in russian....

  10. I contacted the access desk accessdesk@ncl.com and I was told that they'd provide me with distilled water free of charge. I was told there would be some in my room when I arrive, and that if I needed more to let them know.

Just disembarked from the DAWN and distilled water was requested prior to embarking on my cruise and was in the room when I arrived. It was free of charge. Thank you NCL - it was appreciated. Carol

  11. Does anyone know if the flowers you can order from NCL are nice or a good deal. Thinking of the $54 vase.

I ordered the dozen roses and when I saw them in the cabin, I was amazed. There were 12 bright red long stem Roses and a nice glassed vase. You will not be disappointed.

  12. You will get a notification from the service desk a couple of days before the first part of the cruise ends telling you want to do. you will be able to keep your clothes in the room, you will not be required to attend the muster drill, as the previous poster stated, if the cruise originated in a foreign country and ends in a foreign country, you will not be required to leave the ship, If your cruise starts and ends in the U.S, then you will be required to leave the ship and then after all cleared is given, you can then reboard.

  13. Hmm I looked at a YouTube video of 12528 and 12028 and one or both showed a Murphy bed.

I was on the dawn in cabin #12528 and there was a murphy bed along with a pull out sofa and Queen bed.....The Queen bed can be separated to make 2 beds.....I slept on the murphy bed and it was very comfortable.....The only negative to the family suites on deck 12 is that there is no cover on the balcony so you are in the hot sun all day and can't use it on rainy days.
