Since you were on the cruise, you should have asked and gotten your answer there.

If you look at my OP, I did ask and was told by a Diamond member that Platinum and Emerald were eliminated. I did not receive a clear answer from the loyalty ambassador other than it was in the Compass. I assume she was referring to the Welcome Aboard party and not a top tier event, which would not be in the compass.

Well, that's a bummer they missed us on the top tier invite on Serenade. We really enjoy those things. The cabin gift was cheap water and some kind of shortbread cracker. I bugged the loyalty ambassador and received some chocolate covered strawberries, we usually get them without asking.

On Anthem we got a pillowtop mattress cover option, but I'm not sure if that's what everyone gets. It was comfy. We also got a bottle of champagne and the strawberries without asking.

I just sailed on Serenade and did not receive my usual paper invitation to the platinum and above top tier C&A loyalty event. We're emerald. I heard from a Diamond member that these top tier events are Diamond and above now. Is this true or was that person speaking out of turn?

Sorry I can't answer your specific questions as I did go for the pre-purchase offer, it seemed like a great discount. I am also Emerald, but didn't bother to check the onboard discount, probably the usual 15% or so. You will most certainly want "surf and stream" if you want to Skype. Skype works great over Voom, as does FaceTime. I turn off the video and also used Skype to call landlines and cell phones, much better than paying $2.99/min. I bought for the entire cruise and used it quite a bit, but I'm a bit of a technophile.

Hi everyone, we just got back from Anthem OTS and wanted to share my Thriller video. It's from the side, but I did see a few phone cameras filming from in the front. Anyone have other video of the 5/20/16 performance?

I was recently on board an RCCL cruise when the call "Echo Echo Echo" was repeated a couple times. We happened to be getting ready to depart a port and the seas were a bit rough, if that was a clue.

 

But I never figured out what had occurred.

Echo Echo Echo was called several times when the Carnival Legend collided with the RCCL Enchantment this past Wednesday. We were indeed in port and the seas were rough. The Legend was blown right into the EOS and Echo was called before, during and after the collision.

Would be interesting to know what it means, didn't think to ask a crewmember.
