  1. We are boarding tomorrow in Athens, but staying in port till 5pm the next day. Can we get off the ship at 7am if we want and go do our thing in town or is there a specific time they open the doors in the morning? Do we have to go through any sort of official procedures at the port, or do we just walk off the ship and grab a taxi? We'd like to get off the ship early and go to the Acropolis as soon as they open to avoid most of the lines...

  2. I am on the phone with Celebrity right now, and the agent tells me we can only bring non-major-brand water on board. Like supermarket brand. No Zephyrhills or Dasani or anything like that, because they sell that on board. Never heard anything like this before! And she reiterated that you can bring what you can carry in your arms only. NOT in a carry on bag or shopping bag or checked luggage. What you can carry in your arms without dropping it all over, lol.

  3. This is the best most detailed info I have ever seen! I called Celebrity to discuss this. The person I spoke to knew nothing about anything, and had to keep putting me on hold for minutes at a time to find someone else who might know. She said I was supposed to inform them 30 days in advance that we had CPAP equipment. I couldn't find any info about that on the Celebrity website. I looked at the medical/disability section, and it didn't mention that. But they will supposedly be able to accommodate us with two extension cords and distilled water. I saw this on Amazon while I was ordering my magnets, etc. and hope it will work. It's a cruise ship power strip, ,with no extension cords and no surge protection. I am hoping we can plug one into each extension cord they give us, then plug CPAPs, phones, etc. into this device, so we can have outlets in the bedrooms! I'm guessing it will cover both outlets, but we'll bring a European adaptor so my daughter sleeping on the couch can have plugs also... I'm exhausted from trying to think of everything that will make this trip more organized and easier for us! Also bought over the door shoe and accessory bags, and if they don't work over the doors, I can stick them up with the heavy duty magnets, lol! Thanks again for everything!

Yes there is only one set of plugs and it is located by the desk.  There is a light duty electrical outlet in the bathroom.  That is it.  No plugs in either bedroom.  Here are 3 pictures that tell the story:

Here are the only set of outlets (besides the one in the bathroom) by the desk.  You get two American 3 prong plugs and one European plug.  If you bring a European adapter, you pick up a 3rd electrical outlet you can use.  We used a multiple USB charging station that occupied one of the plugs to charge up all our phones, cameras, battery packs.  I used a heavy duty battery pack by my bedside to power up my phone and watch at night because I have to have my phone next to me!

Thanks for the update. Even RC has tighten up on the amount of bottled water and soda allowed to be brought onboard.  We have no experience with either as we do the CBPs.

Funny, we've been on several RC cruises and were Never allowed to bring water or soda on board! I think it all depends who's on duty when you arrive! I think we are going to have to do at least a couple of drinks packages, like it or not.

Bring along a cheap duffle bag and put your water in at the hotel. Slap a luggage tag on the duffle bag along with your luggage.

I just called and was told that you may bring bottled water, but not in your luggage, no luggage tags, no wheelie suitcases or backpacks - only what you can carry in your arms through security and onto the ship! :( That really sucks. Not too many people will be able to haul a case of water around, standing in lines, etc. Certainly not enough for a whole family!

Yes, you may bring water on board, just put a luggage tag on it and give it to the porters at the dock

Thank you so much! That will be a huge money saver! Leave more for fun stuff! :)

  8. MAHDNC, I can not thank you enough for all these photos and super detailed information! Tips like these are priceless - about the magnets (who would ever have thought of that??) and the mattress on the couch, the room heating up with all the windows (we will close those curtains when we go out!) etc. I think it will be perfect for us!

Just one thing that has me worried - you said the only outlets are by the desk. So there are none in the bedrooms? To charge phones or plug in CPAP machines? That could be a real problem... I think I'd better call Celebrity and discuss this. I mean the phones and kindles, that's just an annoyance. But the CPAP machines, that's a big deal!

    Thanks again, SO SO much!

  9. Has anyone been in this cabin, or similar? Wondering if the balcony is going to be uncomfortably windy? Cruising Western Caribbean over New Year's... Also will we be super cramped if 4 adults each have a suitcase and carryons? Planning on two in the master bedroom, one in the second bedroom, and one on the pullout couch. Hope we won't be climbing over each other and our luggage constantly!

  10. Do they let you bring any water on board for your own use? Some cruise lines allow cases of water to be brought on and put in your cabin. Or purchased at ports along the way and brought on board. Can we do this on Reflection? We drink nothing but plain bottled water, lots of it. We don't want packages with fancy sparkling water and sodas, etc.!

  11. Just put a 24 hour hold on a Reflections cruise, 12/28/18. Looking at drinks packages. We are 4 adults. Two don't drink alcohol. We all mostly drink water. If we don't buy the premium bottled water package that comes with Evian, what will we get? Tap water in a glass? On previous cruises (never on Celebrity before) we never bought any packages, but got free water and lemonade, coffee and tea. Two of us might have a few drinks over the course of the whole week, so don't think package is necessary.

    Appreciate any thoughts on this!

  12. BluBonett, how was that Navigator cruise? I came here looking for the same info. We are about to book the Royal Family Suite, #8694. I see all sorts of pictures of "similar" suites on other ships, but I can't figure out what's what. They are all decorated entirely differently and they look like different configurations! The picture on the RC website of this room looks like something much fancier, with a grand piano in it. I don't think that is right. And they don't show the bedrooms, or the balcony which is "partially obstructed." Do you have any pictures? Comments? Please? Appreciate it greatly...
