  1. You can go there by public bus. I went there and posed with the devil. They sell postcards and they will be postmarked from hell if you mail the from the Devil's hangout. they will stamp your passport for a small tip. you can stop there as part of a trip to the Turtle Farm.. The bus fare is 2.50 us .

  2. The same thing happened to us on our Bermuda cruise in 2011. we went to Orlando, the Nassau and Great Stirrup cay. we were disappointed, but still had a good time. It almost happened again in 2012. They departed with no destination and went to Bermuda on schedule, but departed to NY on Thursday, rather than Friday. Please try to have a good time. Remember-a day at sea is always better than a day at the office.

  3. I went into a shop and was offered blue mountain coffee at $50 a pound. When i said no, she went 2 for $25. I ran out of the store as fast as I could.

Try a supermarket with set prices.

  4. Last night, 12/31/2013 while watching ABC TV, waiting for the Times Square ball to drop, I saw the headline, "CAYMAN POLICE SEARCHING FOR MISSING CRUISE SHIP PASSENGER", on the news zipper in the background. I saw nothing in this morning's newspaper, or on the radio. I saw nothing on the CC news page. Does anybody reading this have any info. Thanks and have a happy new year, and smooth sailing.

  5. On my recent NCL Pearl cruise my DW & I both purchased the $50 promo play chips from Bank of America NCL card points worth $25 each. On a previous cruise we used the pay $10 get $15 in promo chips without incident. We did play the non-negotiable chips till we would lose them. This time when we won, they paid the $5 but took away the promo chip. as such, this was not much of a bargain. I complained to no avail. Do any of my fellow CCers have any knowledge if there has been a policy change, or did the staff make a costly error in their favor.

  6. We have cruised NCL 4 times and keep Kosher. We were pleasantly surprised that NCL gives soup, appetizer and dessert in addition to the entrée. Carnival only gave us a main dish. We did have issues on the Gem, because of poor selection, due to hurricane season, but the other cruises were fine. It can be tricky to keep kosher on a cruise. The cream of broccoli soup (Weberman) was O-u-meat, while the cheese cake (Weberman) was parve. We found that Weberman Kosher meals were generally lousy, but edible. There were a few dairy items, mac-n cheese, pizza and parve, fish croquettes (inedible), salmon etc. The breakfast entrees could be ordered for lunch, blintzes, omelets.

Generally, you must decide 1 day in advance, what you will order for your meals. You need to seek out the person in the MDR who is in charge of the Kosher meals. He or she will give the waiters proper instruction. They even delivered kosher meals to their private island.

Or you have 2 other choices----1- Pay for the special Kosher cruises.

    2-take a different type of vacation.

  7. I tried to redeem 5000 points for $50 obc. I was transferred several times until Igot to the right person. She went thru all of the motions and at the end, could not complete the transaction due to a computer "error". I tried this 3 times on different days and went thru the same proceedure, with the same result.

Note: according to the web site 5000 points = $25 cash.

  8. Sometimes it even takes two billing cycles. And yes, their CS is lacking, but few call centers meet my expectation so just consider it a given.

Then, after the points show up, you have to call and specifically request the reward. They have no way of knowing that u want to use your points on that particular reservation.:p
