We were on the Horizon june 25-july 3, first 2 nights the room was very hot at night then we discovered we had to put a card in the card slot to keep lights, AC or plugs to work !

Dont want to be rude but how many points does it takes to qualifu for Elite ? I cruise twice a year with an average of 7500-8000 points on each cruise and omly got one Premier over the years.

I personnally removed 3 nights of dining team (we had YTD, 3 x 6.40$) because we ate at Steakhouse or Seafood Shack or Cucina. I dont consider myself cheap...

I was on Horizon june 25- july 3 cruise. I left my seat (deck 11) for 5 minutes (restrooms) and when i came back there was a sticker on my chair ! The attendant saw me and removed it. The best i have seen, same cruise, the attendant remove things from a chair, at least he is trying, the bag on the chair was lock with a chain !!!

They allow 12 cans or bottle of non alcoholic beverage.

Skyride was operationnal.

Background, we are a family of 3, i am 48, wife 52, son is 16. We have 116 days at sea (18 cruises) all with Carnival.

Food : Buffet is good, best than other ships, love the new layout with the center station. Steakhouse is great , Seafood Shack, pizza and Cucina excellent. MDR excellent. We had YTD, never waited for a table, service was fast, out in 75 minutes.

Entertainement : We saw Celestial things, WOW !!! The violonists are really, really good. Comedians, we saw 4 shows, all really good, Blanchard was the best.

Room : Regular balcony, deck 6 above the liquid lounge, no noise or music disturbed us. Steward was very attentive and friendly.

Elevators : I prefer this new system,but on day 1 it was a nightnare ! After day 1 everything was gooing smooth and fast.

Chairs hogs : In full force ! At 7:15, no chairs available on deck 10, 11 or 12 midship and only 20-25 persons on site.

One thing i observed... people were really loud on this cruise ! I could catch an entire conversation from 25 feet away !!!

Great cruise, great ship, maybe or 2-3 best cruise out of 18.

On the Breeze, a man was saving 4 chairs on deck 11 for shade and 4 on deck 12 for sunshine ! He and is family move from one deck to another every 30 minutes or so !

I guess the compensation is you are now in a higher category with an "oceanview",

I know you are asking about the Vista but take in consideration something can disturb the arrival of the ship, like a medical emergency. I was on the Pride 25 june sailing, we were suppose to disembark at 10h but a medical emergency occured and we disembark at 13h45.

Dont forget tips, on day 2 or 3 they will automatically charge 6 x 12,95$ on your S and S.

My son has autism, we always ask guest services for the drill for people with special needs, it's usually in one of the dining room.

I didn't get it but wish I had. The smoking on the Vista is the worst. The casino bar is huge and round right in the middle of the casino. All the drunks, who are not gambling, sit there by the droves and yell at each other. Some idiot with a vape set off the sprinklers and the bar was closed for the next day for cleanup. I never saw such a huge cloud come out of one of these and he was aiming it at the sprinklers.

Sprinklers usually triggers with heat...

Probably one of the safest. Last time we did like a "treasure hunt" with my son and visit each place who gives free gems ! At the end he had like 10 gems and we had a lot of fun.

What about protection if your attacked in your home ?

Except police officer, military and some security officers, there is no hand gun in Canada. If attack at home, i have a pitching wedge ans my attacker probably a baseball bat !
