  1. I am just back from my 4th World Voyage. Have been at a table for 8 in Britannia Club for more than 100 days! Decided on my return crossing back to NY I would have a fable for two. I loved it! Took my kindle with me and just enjoyed the peace! Enjoyed visiting with those around me but not all the time. Highly recommend it and it is NOT rude. Those around you also have single tables so may not want to visit. If you request a table for two, a stranger will not be seated with you. Happy sailing!

  2. Thanks for all the tips on magnets and hooks!.. Another thing I did on the World Cruise was to take down all the wooden hangers and white supports on the Mary and use wire hangers which I brought. You can fit so much more in the closet! It's very easy to do on the QE and a bit harder on the Mary.v

  3. love reading your blog, deck chair! Can hardly wait to be on QM2 again, ask your internet manager how you can write your blog off line, then put it in drafts and post it when you want to! Will save you gobs of time and money!

  4. Thank you all for your answers. Yes, I did meet Dennie last year. Kathy, I will say hello to Irene and Ian. They are very active members of our dining table! I enjoyed visiting with you, too, barbara and loved following your blog!

Am sure you are following this year's QE travels......... On the QM2 I loved the Atlantic Room as a gathering spot for the World Cruisers.

I agree, next year there will probably be more on board the Mary though talking with people on QE I have yet to find anyone who will do the World on the Mary. They all go back and forth between the QE and the Victoria.

    Thanks for all you comments

  5. Thanks, everyone! My internet access has been down for a day--maybe a condo problem? Think I will do the postcards and Maybe make a collage of them on a bulletin board when I get back.. Refrigerator magnets would also be easy to collect-and small. Had not thought of that. Miss the subzero in my home but the refrigerator in my condo "attracts" magnets. Magnets could always go on the bulletin board, too.

I agree, the friends you make are sometimes the best memory. On our first transatlantic we were seated beside a British couple who asked to be seated beside any Americans. We became the"any Americans" and have become good friends and traveled with them two years ago. Sadly last summer my husband passed away so this will be a "winter adventure" for me to avoid the dark and cold of New England. Seems a good year to take off, have sunshine and warmth and see new places----can hardly wait. Packing has started!
