We also sail on the 8th. I am watching this situation carefully.
I'm not sure if it's true for sure, but I've read Mexico Health Officials have tested the sick crew member for Coronavirus and if it did possibly come back confirmed as positive, this could and probably should be a 14 day wait time and all those passengers and crew would be forced to stay onboard.

Our Meraviglia sailing is on March 8th, this may get interesting.......

Following as we sail her in March 2020....
-
Follow up in case anyone else is trying to get savings. My TA had to cancel and re-book and saved about 10% As an added bonus, my TA was able to also secure a balcony in what we think is a better location, very near mid-ship.
Very happy how this turned out.

We are already booked for March 2020 sailing, will MSC allow us to take advantage of a lower rate they are offering on this sale?
-
Can these be used on "virgin" mixed drinks? Or Gelato??
-
Well done. Are you posting more days too? Following!

First time on a MSC ship and love gelato. We are ding the Bella experience, so from what I'm reading, there is an extra cost for gelato . Is this correct and does anyone know the cost of each serving or is there several sizes and prices involved?
Also is there any free ice cream anywhere on the ship??
Thanks in advance.

My DW and I were also on this cruise and I share many of the same experiences that you did.
State room attendent was perfect and seemed invisible when we didn't need him and right there when we did...This is what we look for.
Our bed too, was a like brick of cement and I wished I would have thought to ask for some padding. My whole ached more and more every night. I was so happy to sleep in my own bed last night.
Yes, the sink was too narrow, but I guess we managed. Shower was small, but we did like the doors instead of a curtain which could cling to you. My DW liked the bar inside to shave her legs on.
We ate in the MDR every night and found on the 3rd night a team of waiters that kept everything flowing great and we were done in about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Food quality in the MDR was average at best.
This was our 7th cruise overall, but 1st with RCI, and we thought, with the exception of Blue Planet (Odd theme), this was the best entertainment we have seen on any line. Momma Mia was superb!
Yes, the ship rocked a little after Cozumel, but the first 6 days were the smootest sailing we had ever experienced.
We searched and searched and finally found this cruise last minute at a great rate otherwise, I wouldn't consider it a very good value overall.
The casino was very smoky-Everywhere, not just the "smoking side"
We had a 10th floor ocean view balcony and it was was nice, but at night, it was always too hot to sleep with the door open and it never got quite cool enough for me to sleep with anything more than just a sheet on top.
If anyone has questions feel free to ask while the experience is fresh in our minds.

Just off Allure yesterday. Nothing too special as far as events during dining. On one of the nights the management introduced the head cheif and another night they introduced the team of lead cooks. I doubt your young one would be too impressed.
-
I see many reviews and posts saying they were offered 2 for 1 (or discounted) dining while on board the ship. I would like to go to a couple of these restaurants, but would love to NOT pay full price.
Could anyone help?

We just booked Allure and found about 8 weeks out was the sweet spot.
Keep in mind, it will all depend on supply and demand. Our cruise was December 13 and that is the same week we usually cruise, so we knew is was a slow period.
Just keep checking every day around the time of final payment is due. This will give you the best chance. My sailing was only cheaper for a couple of days and we found it on a TA site, but wasn't on other sites......

I watched pricing all spring and summer for an Allure December 13th and last week, I finally did book a Superior Ocean Balcony D6 for abour $300 PP less than I found at any "sale" erlier this year. So I think they are still discounting where they need to fill cabins.
I was real surprised how the perks varied greatly from TA to TA

As if we were not excited enough about our December 14th sailing on the Regal. Now is seems more real with her in Fort Lauderdale.
:)

A few weeks ago we booked and paid final payment for BZ Guaranteed Obstructed balcony for Dec 14, 2014 Regal Princess through a TA. Today, I saw the same price we paid listed on the TA's website for a BB (non-obstructed) balcony. Called TA and they called Princess and upgraded us to a near mid ship, Caribe balcony with an assigned cabin at the same price and OBC.
I was prepared to hear "NO" but, we are thrilled!!!!
I guess it never hurts to ask :)

Sounds like I'll get some hold'em action on some sea days

I sailed the Star Princess to Alaska last May and they had an all electronic poker table which didn't use a live dealer. It was fun and I wonder if the Regal has one of these tables in the casino too?
Thanks in advance
Coronavirus Ruled Out on Meraviglia in Cozumel
in MSC Cruises
Posted
I found a story online from what appears to be credible source.
They still can't disembark until they find out what the virus is.
