Yea, some weird liquor laws related to taxes that apply to cruising out of those parts.
It just seems odd to me, leaving out of NY in July. Cruised many times on other lines from NY and the package always started on day 1

I'm just curious but can anyone tell me why Carnival's drink packages don't start until day 2 of your cruise?
-
Thanks

I understand that if we're doing the proctored home test it can not be done earlier than the Friday before, (leaving Sunday) but what's the latest i can take the test? Anytime between Friday and arriving at the port?

My wife and I are cruising out on NYC on NCL the first week of April. I realize we have to provide a negative test at the pier. What happens if you take an at home test and you test positive 2 days before your cruise? Refund? FCC? or
what?

Just off the Gem last week. Platinum guests met on one side of the theater, the other side was for Haven and suite guests

I know you can't bring one on the ship but, will they provide one for you to use in you cabin for a short time?
-
Will there be a sticker or something on your sign and sail card to reflect that you have the package?
-
How long after purchase will i receive confirmation email?

We've used something similar on another line but haven't cruised Carnival in many years. Like just about everything else it cost less to use than the other line
-
Thanks, that's what we want the chat part. Wife and i often go our separate way while cruising

Can someone tell me the cost to connect to the Carnival HUB app while on board?

Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on Valet Anywhere in New York?

With it getting dark and the overcast sky wouldn't you think you could see some lights on the chip?

I'm watching and curious too. It started to leave but turned completely around and is now sitting still

What's going on? Looks like it spun completely around leaving port Canaveral and is now sitting still.Still in port

I have a friend that wants to accompany his father on the Breakaway this Sunday, unfortunately he is unable to locate his passport and is not a U.S. citizen. Born in Uruguay. He does have a vald drivers license and a permanent resident card issued by Homeland Security will this get him on the ship?

We were in that cabin in February. The balcony is HUGE 2 lounge chairs 2 regular chairs and a small table and still plenty of room and privacy.

Hi dawntrip, we will be in cabin 11502 soon. thanks for the assurance of no noise!!

We were on deck 11 twice once under the buffet at about 4am we heard what sounded like furniture being moved around and or Carts being rolled. The second time we were under the gym absolute nightmare with people dropping weights at a very early time. Going on the Gem in 2 weeks booked a mini suite on deck 11, but this time we're under the spa. That should be quiet

We also noted a price drop on our balcony cabin for our November 25th cruise. Called and got a mini suite for the original balcony price!

The Gem is our favorite ship. Going on this same cruise November 25th. Been on the Dawn, Star and Jewel Twice. This will be our 4th time on the Gem, very similar to the Jewel. The great outdoors is our preffered spot to eat our breakfast weather permitting of course.
