  1. We are sailing into the Los Angeles port on the Island Princess on January 18th. Can anyone tell me the best, cheapest, easiest way to get to the LAX airport? We have the whole day as we are having dinner with someone and then flying the next day. TYIA

  2. I believe that when the bed is made up there is a bottom sheet a top sheet and then the duvet. So I think all you will need to do is ask the cabin attendant to put away the duvet.  If that isn’t the case ask for whatever changes need to be made. At the end of your stay if you feel you have asked a lot of the attendant or gotten exceptional service please do leave an extra tip.

  3. On the Coral Princess earlier this year, it was one punch for the Black Forest Freeze (think frappuccino) (any size) and it was very good. I had several since I have a glut of coffee cards (I don't drink the alcohol in the free mini-bar setup).

We have only sailed once before with Princess although we are RCI Diamond plus so not new to cruising. But I don't understand what people are saying about the mini bar. Are the mini bar contents free and then you pay for any refills? Any info about the mini bars would be appreciated. I am planning on getting a coffee card.

  4. Thanks for finding out about this.

DH and I had a reservation when we were in Bermuda in June. We took the ferry to Hamilton and the bus to St. George as it was the weekend and the ferry did not go. Got all the way to The Perfumery to find that the owner had an accident a few days earlier in the week and wasn't serving tea. The ladies downstairs in The perfumery had no idea we were coming and called the owner for us, hey were very nice. We were terribly disappointed. So I would uggest calling first before going out there. We are sailing to Bemuda 10/07/12 and are still deciding if we will make another reservation to go there for tea. I'm hopful someone will post after having had tea about thier experience to help us decide.

  5. I love the little blue bin it comes in. While on the ship I put it next to my bed to hold the little things I keep by my bed. The last cruise we were on I brought it home with me and now use it to hold reading glasses, pens, stickies by my reading chair. Wish it came with 2 bags of cookies and 2 bags of trail mix so we each could enjoy them. But we give the little gift a thumbs up.
