Love reading your reviews! We are anxiously awaiting our return to Celebrity on the Eclipse 12/10. (I was on Celebrity's inaugural season to Bermuda many years ago).
We love to celebrate birthdays with a shot of Louis XIII-could you find out if they have this on board, and what the going rate is, please?
Enjoy your next 14 days!

Saw the old girl this evening 0n another board. A really sad sight.
Many fond memories of the Cunard Countess. So sad.....:(

What an amazing review, Gambee! Loved every word of it! Can't wait for your next cruise:D

I LIKE that - the Gold Medal! I would sleep with it under my pillow, if given the chance!!!
I'm south...Lake Winnebago...the boonies of Cass County. :D
Can I sneak into your luggage with you on your upcoming cruise??!!
By all means--we'd have a BLAST! I'll be at a conference in Orlando at the Ritz Carlton for 4 days pre-cruise--have to get into party mode early, you know!;)

Woo hoo! FINALLY--the long-awaited FOS review! I can't wait--we're sailing in 64 days!
If writing cruise reviews was an Olympic event, you would certainly have won the Gold for your Med. Cruise review--best review ever! I'm a fellow Kansas City-ite (we're in Liberty)--and now a huge fan of the Middle Aged Drama Queen! Keep writing! :D:D

The Southward was my very first cruise in 1983--been hooked on cruising since!:D

WOW! What a magnificent tour of the ship! We sail in less than 3 weeks--really looking forward now since seeing your photos! Just a quick question--was there any sort of sail away party/barbeque on deck when you sailed out of San Juan?

Just from reading the posts of this wonderfully charming gentleman, I feel like he is family. He is the exact age of my father, who writes in an almost identical style. Oh, how I wish him the trip of a lifetime, and only hope that when I am his age, I will have the stamina and la joie de vivre! God bless him throughout his year long journey!

After reading the Open Seating travails of others, I truly feel fortunate that we were able to get a table for two every evening that we dined in MDR on our recent Eurodam sailing. While we preferred to dine around 6:15 every evening, we were somewhat flexible with availability. 3 evenings we were able to walk up and get a two-top at 6:00-6:15 pm. The other 2 evenings that we dined, we had to come back at approx. 7:00 pm, and were seated promptly. We tried to make reservations early in the mornings, but even by 8:15 am, they (said) had no tables for two available. We found that just walking up was more successful than trying to make reservations. They do allow you to make reservations for 3 evenings at a time, so if you can get in early enough, you can probably get something around the time that you prefer.

My addiction began September 18, 1983-NCL "Southward". Sailed from Miami to Puerto Plata, San Juan, St. Thomas, and Nassau. Met my husband on that cruise.....

"I'm chuckling at the Louis XIII question because it is something talked about with some friends back home so it will most definitely be my pleasure to find out for you."
Thanks, ChicagoPaul!!:D;):D
