  1. We were on June 25 Island princess southbound and our whole group with the exception on the youngest (who had a nasty virus a couple of months before that turned into pneumonia) ended up really sick. I don't know if it was the official Flu or not, but definitely flu like symptoms with fever, aches, chills, cough, liquidy, upset stomach... The first member came down 5 days after we got on this ship, and I have to say I have been on 6 cruises and have never heard so many people coughing in my life, it was gross. The rest came down with it on the way home and it lasted about two weeks, I just stopped coughing. My parents had gotten their flu shot in the fall, and they got it worse than any of us. You just never know, there are bugs everywhere, it is unfortunate when it happens on vacation, but it can happen anytime. I will say that I agree with OP that I felt Princess could have done a little more to help prevent the spread of the bug, serving in the buffet would have helped, or at the dinner tables, don't reuse the settings that are removed from a table if there is an extra spot.

We still had a great time while we were all well.

  2. We just got back from our cruise on Wednesday and did a tour with Harv and Marv. I highly recommend them. There was 5 in our group, so we had the boat to ourselves. They mainly have small boats that will seat up to 6, they have one larger boat that will hold 12 or 14 (I think, I could be wrong on that). Anyway, we found them to be fantastic. A few could climb and sit on the bow of the boat while there was a standing area in the back that could have held all five of us if we wanted to be back there. They bus and boats were clean and in top notch condition. We were on their original boat, and it looked brand new. Because we were on a smaller boat, we were able to get to the whales faster, and the whales swam amazingly close to our boat. It was an experience I will never forget, and I highly recommend Harv and Marv.

  3. We are on Island Princess in July to Alaska. Our 14 y/o son will be traveling with us. We are booked in a balcony cabin on Caribe deck in a category B2. It is supposed to accommodate 3 people, but I was curious if anybody had pics of the sleeping set up with 3 people. The only option it gave us for our bed config was twin beds, so I was somewhat concerned that my husband and I's bed couldn't be put together, and I was curious to see how DS bed would fit into the space.

  4. Hi all, I just got a wii fit for christmas, just about laughed myself silly when it plumped up my mii. Anyway, do you guys use the board with your shoes? I am kinda afraid to step on the board with my shoes, but like to exercise in them. Also, how do you guys know which things to do to get a good workout? I have wii personal trainer, and I like how I don't have to think, she just works out, but I wanted to try something different too. Any advice would be great. Thanks, Marci
