This is a great Royal Caribbean cruisetour link, thanks so much for sharing. It really filled in a few blanks for our planned trip next year.

Not much info on Royal Caribbean land tours for sure, I did get some information by e-mailing the Cruise Tours department for our 2019 Alaska trip:
CruiseTours@rccl.com
They gave me some departure and arrival times, and I will schedule our own excursions in Denali (already done the Tundra Wilderness Tour inside Park). there is not much time in Talkeetna so may not do an excursion there. The Cruise Tours department also told me that these tours are sold as a bundle package and that the Tour Director may be able to offer some optiosn once you get on the tour.
I agree with another poster, on these land tours much of it is already filled with activities.

Just sailing back into Copenhagen from a Baltic Sea cruise and we did use chip credit cards in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallinn, St. Petersburg and Helsinki. We never had to provide our PIN number we just had to sign the credit slip. We had notified our card providers that we would be in these countries before we left.

As for TJ Travel, we used them two days ago for a one day St. Petersburg tour. We did not do early admission at the Hermitage but our tour guide for us in right at security and we did not stand in line to get in. And we did do the hydrofoil ride.

Just got an e-mail from TJ Travel in regard to our upcoming St. Petersburg tour later in May.....
Dear Friends,
We would like to inform you about the change in the payment procedure. We are no longer able to accept payment in foreign cash (US dollars, Canadian dollars, Euros, GBP etc) other than cash in Rubles.
We apologize for this late notice, however, we will do our best to make the payment process for you as easier as possible. If you have already prepared some cash for your payment, your guide will help you to exchange it into Rubles according to the best exchange rate available in St. Petersburg on the day of payment. If you would like, you can certainly exchange your foreign currency on board the ship or at home, but the exchange rate might be not so favourable. So please do not worry, we will help you to exchange the money here in St. Petersburg.
We would like to remind you that credit card payment is also available and from now on we accept not only VISA and MASTER CARD but also AMERICAN EXPRESS (AMEX)
To summarize, there are three methods of payment
-
You pay us in Rubles in St. Peterburg upon your arrival (either on the second or the third day of your tour). If you bring foreign cash with you, this is absolutely okay! Your guide will help you to exchange your money on the spot.
-
You are welcome to pay by Credit Card. We accept VISA, MASTER CARD and AMEX. .If you decide to pay by credit card the amount for the tour will be charged in rubles according to the exchange rate of our Central bank on the day of payment. No transaction fee is taken. Debit cards are accepted as well.
-
You can make an advanced payment through our website. Please, contact us for more details.
Please, note that tips can be given to your guide/driver in either currency (US dollars, Euro, Rubles etc) and are not mandatory.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused and hope for your understanding.
Warm Regards,
TJ Travel Team

Yes, everything I can find has the Serenade docking in Old Town Harbor in Tallinn, and so we booked the TALLINN FOOD TOUR FOR CRUISE PASSENGERS. This tour begins just outside the Tallinn Cruise Port Passenger gates, so we should be fine.
-
We are doing a Food Sightseeing Estonia tour in May when we dock in Tallinn (see link below), and this tour includes transportation to and from cruise terminal. Although we are just doing the primary food sightseeing tour you can add on a city tour. Details and costs are on their web site.

We stayed at the Olivia Plaza a few years ago and would recommend this 4-star boutique hotel located in Plaça Catalunya in the center of Barcelona. Location was great as we were at the top of Las Ramblas, and could walk right out to the Plaça Catalunya and catch the HOHO bus.
-
...94 days until the Serenade of the Seas and the Baltic Sea.
-
Have to recommend Cafe Puerto Rico right on Plaza de Colon, it is small and can be tough to get into as locals will often name this place first on their list. The Mofungo and especially their Tres Leche is the best we had this summer in Old San Juan.
-
We got this map on our first Royal Caribbean cruise back in 1980, and at that time there were only three cruise ships in the line (Nordic Prince, Song of Norway, Sun Viking) and only a few Caribbean routes. We were on the Sun Viking and did the Western Caribbean route. We got this map framed but it became out of date fast as Royal Caribbean grew.

We have been in and out of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seward, San Juan, Barcelona and Venice. The one we felt was the worst terminal was New Orleans, and that sealed us ever going back there.
-
We have been on several aft cabins and never had any issues with soot, and never noticed any soot on the deck chairs or railings. We just just on the Splendour of the Seas first week of June and no issues on Deck 8 aft cabin.

Another recommendation for RomeInLimo, we used them in 2013 for Florence and Rome and our good friends used them last month in Rome. Much more flexibility and a much better time than the ship excursion. They also secured a private Vatican guide for our Rome trip and that paid huge dividends.

To echo some other responses we just finished a 7 night Greek Isles cruise on Splendour. Only one sea day and port intensive with some late days but we still had two formal nights.
We also thought the Splendour crew was very good, so you should have a great cruise.
-
And they still had good number of Brazilian staff as Splendour just got to Venice from Brazil apparently, but an update on concierges presently on this ship:
- Concierge - Gisleni Araujo (Ext. 4630)
- Diamond Concierge - Eliana Garcia (Ext. 4632)
I will have to say the Splendour crew was great on this Greek Isles cruise, very good service.

Mystery solved, I heard from the current Splendour concierge......
Eliana García
Diamond Concierge
Splendour of the Seas
-
E-Mail sent, and will update about what I find out. I was thinking the e-mail went with the individual Concierge.
-
Yes, e-mailed Danielle already and that is how I found out she went on vacation May 1st.
-
Anyone know? Should I start new topic so question is seen by more viewers?
-
This is a great list and I used to contact Danielle Palma who is listed as current Concierge. She told me she is taking vacation effective May 1st and will be back to the Splendour of the Seas on July 4, 2015.
Anyone know who is the current Concierge on the Splendour of the Seas? Our cruise departs on May 30th.
-
So will that impact our cruise from Venice to Greek Isles in May 2015? Does the Splendour of the Seas make the cut?

Best Time for Juneau Helicopter Tour?
in Alaska
Posted
For Juneau glacier dog sled/glacier landing helicopter tour, better to book a morning or afternoon tour? We have others in our group that want to do whale watching first, then go with us on helicopter tour. Any weather difference around May 26th?
