Oh and the configuration for the four person room used the couch with a pullman bed above it for passengers 3 & 4. I imagine it will be a tight fit with the pack n play in the room but better to be packed in on vacation than spread out at home 😉

I was on a different deck than you on the Bliss, but my cabin held two and had a balcony near the bath. My sister was next door to me with a cabin for four, they had the bed near balcony. If you are in a room for four, I assume that the bed will be near the balcony.

On a Mediterranean cruise I took in 2016, one of our assigned table mates (traditional dining), had booked the cruise for himself and his wife. She cheated on him a few months before the cruise and they ended up getting divorced. He was trepidatious to cruise alone but he was so glad that he mustered up the nerve. He ended up hanging with our group all week and we are all still friends. We're actually trying to talk him into our cruise this year too! Just go and meet up for some of the solo events, I'm sure you will have a great time.

Huh? I am English and am wondering what that is?Not anything I recognize....
Looks like they lunched at Ikea. A decidedly Swedish furniture store. Doug, did they make you build your own fork to eat the Swedish meatballs?
I'm so excited for this thread, I'll be on the Bliss in January. I've haven't been live for your previous adventures, but enjoyed the recaps. Have a great cruise!

Hi Samantha! I cruised the Mediterranean with Costa in 2016. I had absolutely no problem finding vegetarian meals. The quality varied. I had some amazing meals and a couple lackluster. The roasted vegetable napoleon was outstanding. I could also always choose pasta with a pomodoro sauce (which was vegan). The main dining room on most lines will have a vegetarian option on the menu that changes nightly. Costa always had a vegetarian appetizer as well. There was a vegan at my table that chose to get the same salad every night but the chef came out the first night and offered to make meals for her. He offered stir fried vegetables and a couple of other things but she preferred a salad. You won;t have any problem finding options on most ships. The restaurants in port are another story, most of the ones we tried considered fish to be the vegetarian option!

Congratulations! My parents and their best friends are renewing their vows on our January 2019 Bliss cruise. 40 years for both of them. If we go through ncl, it's $500 per couple. It includes someone to perform the ceremony, music, a red rose, a six inch wedding cake and one 8x10 photo. I asked about having a private cocktail hour but can't get any info yet, as the Bliss has yet to sail her inaugural voyage. We are also considering having the renewal on the beach in St. Thomas. it will probably cost around the same but with a far prettier location. Looking forward to hearing how your experience is!

That sounds like it was a fantastic trip. Standby, as in non-rev? If so, that had to be stressful .
Yes. Non-rev. We are pretty used to it, so we usually have multiple strategies to get where we want. Though it was a risk. The most stressful part of the trip was getting from the Milan airport to the port in Savona. We paid Costa for a transfer and they didn't send one. We made that boat with precious little time to spare.

My brother and I booked a Costa cruise in March of 2016 less than two weeks out. We flew to Milan, cruised out of Savona, and arranged to get off the ship in Civitavecchia (Rome), because we wanted to do Easter Mass at the Vatican. We had a blast and got an amazing last minute deal on an inside cabin. I'm a balcony person too, but we were never in our stateroom and the weather was really too cool to take advantage of a balcony. We fly standby, so I can't give you advice on the airfare.

If you want to be able to access the closet, I don't think you will have a choice but to put the pack n play next to the bed, in front of the couch. There's not enough room for it between the foot of the bed and the wall. If you plan on spending a lot of time in your room, I would plan on putting the pack n play away when you aren't using it. They are easy enough to fold up. I'm also a person that unpacks completely the first day and makes the bed before the room attendant has a chance to get in the room. I like my stateroom organized lol. Enjoy your cruise!
