What would the choices be for pick 2 perks in Australia?   OBC, Internet and Drinks?

For example a 14 night cruise from Singapore to Sydney via Great barrier reef in a concierge class cabin is AUD$3582. If one wishes to have 2 perks for that cabin it becomes AUD$3988. The perks offered are as follows.

    1. US$150 on board credit for 2 (OBC)

    2.      Unlimited High speed internet for two.

3  Classic beverage package for 2 (plus AUD$588.)

4 AdditionalUS$150 per person to share on board

There is a 4 perk offer available (plus AUD$960 per person.)

This includes points 1,2 an4 above. A PREMIUM beverage package replaces the CLASSIC package.

The above cruise departs Singapore 24 November 2020

I'm totally with you on this. A TA would have fixed the whole thing and cost you nothing. With the way the websites for all the cruise lines tend to mix up stuff, why would you not use a TA?

Also, I don't know what a cruise credit is but I would say that if I were getting two perks on a 14 night cruise, OBC is the LAST thing I would take. Gratuities will be far more than the $150 if there are two people in the room. Always add up gratuities and see which is a better deal.

If the OP is Australian she would have had to book through Celebrity Australia. Gratuities are never offered as a perk for Australians as gratuities are built into the cost of the fare.

  3. We were offered a free Signature Experience in an email from HAL today because we booked a SS suite for our cruise from Hong Kong next March. It seems like a very good bonus. My agent got it and said we can cancel later if we look at it and don't want it.

Which Hotel has HAL been using?

We have booked an SS Suite for a sailing next March and received the Signature Experience package. We have been booked into the Cordis Hotel in Mong Kok. Hotel website states it is 5 star hotel. Package includes transfers from Airport to Hotel and Hotel to Kai Tak cruise port. Two night Hotel Package. Excellent value

  4. We are Australian passport holders travelling on the Rotterdam. Do we need a visa to go on a private shore excursion in Sri Lanka?

I thought we had all bases covered but now I am not so sure.

The following is on the Holland America website:

Click on "For Booked Guests" and then click on "Essential Documentation and I.D"

Click on where it says "Please click here to view limited list of Visa requirements". On that list the following wording shows for Sri Lanka. "No Visa required for US, Canadian, German, Dutch, AUSTRALIAN or UK Nationals when in transit with the ship".

I also phoned the Sri Lankan Consulate Offices in Sydney on Tuesday 31 Dec. 2013 (to double check) and was advised NO NEED FOR VISA FOR ONE DAY VISIT.

I guess you are aware though that you will require a Visa for India on the Rotterdam Cruise leaving Singapore later this month
