Hello Wonderful friends,

I have cruised before on Princess/RCL/Carnival - but mostly to mexico, bahamas etc. This is the first time I am looking into Alaska -and I can say, I am very overwhelmed with all the information. I am not able to see the differnce between south bound/north bound or the land tour. This is the only summer we can go on vacation (next summer is going on a oversees vacation) and the next is the SAT summer for my daughter. I am going thru all the threads in this.

We have 7 days for the cruise and around 4-5 days for land. can someone share their itinerary or experience with me ?

Planning on August 2nd week.

No. there is no reservation for this show. just go 10-15 mts early.

how can we register kids to the youth program ? This is our first time in RCCL. For Carnival, we can register online. I cannot find anything for RCCL online.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 13 year old and a 10 year) -visiting St. Thomas for the first time. we are not good swimmers (basic swimming). My daughter wants to go snorkeling. Based on the photos/review, we thought Coki beach would be good. At the same time, we also want to go to Megens Bay, as this is one of the top 10 beaches.

We are going on Royal Caribbean, from 10 AM - 7PM. do you think, we wlll be able to do both beaches ? If so, what would be a good way to do ?

Is the Safari bus a good choice ?

I am doing the native choice Chacchoben tour. port timing is from 8:00-6:00 PM.

Chacchoben tour itinerary is below where the tour will be done by 12:05.

Can We still go to tropicante at 1 PM and stay for 2-3 hours or is it too risky.

IF we can go, how far and how much would be the taxi. any one tried that?

10:00 Guided tour at the ruins.

11:50AM End of guided tour.

12:05PM Departure from Chacchoben Ruins to Costa Maya.

01:00PM Drop off at Costa Maya.

We are family of 4 (39,38,11,8) going on Carnival Glory from Miami to W. Carribean from dec 20-27.

We have planned below.

1. Costa Maya (Tropicante or CHACCHOBEN RUINS: native choice tours)

2. Belize (CaveTubing)

3. Mahogany bay, Roaton (Bodden tours - Sun n Fun)

4. Cozumel. (ParadiseIsland / MrSanchos / Ruins?)

Tropicante seems cheaper than PAradiseISland or MrSanchos (between 1 and 4).

Ruins seems short trip in Costa maya.

Are there any ruins that we can visit in Cozumel ?

This is the first time we are going to W. Carribean. Since this was a last minute trip, we already spent some moolah on the cruise and flights :D :eek:

Small info about us: I dont drink. Husband is a light drinker - so All inclusive - not sure about that.

Please suggest. I am not able to decide t his myself :(

I have a silly question :p . How do you guys carry your cameras/ phones when going on water excursions. I am planning on going to Cave tubing. Would love to take pics .. but at the same time, doesnt want my camera to be spoiled.

I was considering getting a waterproof overboard iphone case, in which I can also carry my sign and sail card, cash etc. Do you think it would be ok ?

Excited to go on my carnival glory on dec 20 :)

Hi,

I am new here and taking my 2nd carnival cruise on Glory from 20-27 December.

We are 4 traveling in 2 rooms. My daughter (11) and I are in 1 room and my son(8) and my husband are in one room. Only my husband has vacation protection (thought, he might need to go oversees as his mom is sick).

Now we know for sure, he is going OO country and will not be able to make it to the cruise :(.

I read not to say anything about cancellations as it would be 200% solo fee. But my son is a minor and cannot be by himself in the room.

Should I call Carnival and move my son into my room and my husband will be get OBC for his cruise ?

Please advice.
