Next up, Playa Bonita. Here we consumed yet another shot and I drank the largest margarita yet on my Cozumel adventure. :p There was a gentleman here who made bracelets/necklaces, he made some to order for us while we had our libations and chips/salsa.

I have a Car reserved in FLL from Fox car rental over Thanksgiving weekend. 2 days it cost me 84.00 unlimited mileage. Im going to drop it at Mia airport the day of my cruise.

Allot of people in bathrobes then...:D:rolleyes:. Only white I have is mabie a shirt and underwear:rolleyes: and socks. Since I dont like wearing pants, none of my kilts are white. Its a NCL thing.

To bad that ship is "Contaminated" by "smokers" now.. I was lucky to cruise on her for 7 days out of Miami back in 2002 when that ship was non smoking.. Even have a few non smoking t shirts from her.. Ill probably sail on her again in near future.

I was on a Post Koreion war eara destroyer (USS Farragut DDG 37) that literally rocked at the pier.. I crossed the Atlantic 4 times on that ship over 18 months and did a 6 month deployment to med and crossed the artic circle. It had 4 1200 psi boilers and2 screws, did over 35 knots and shot a rooster tail at full speed. It had no stablibizers but the weapons were modern for 1987 timeframe except the 5 inch gun on the bow. I glad i was able to spend a tour of duty on that ship.

happily there were 2 FOD guys up on freestyle deck in July on the Epic when I was up there with my nude friend(I was nude too). One FOD guy was in trunks though. I was kind of sorry that I had not gone to FOD gatherings, that might have helped the 2 FOD guys to be comfortable with me(and my friend)

Your saying the other guy put on trunks because he saw you? I figured if you were naked, it wouldnt matter.

My boys have all swam on teams, and they have all worn jammers. My 12-year-old just finished his first summer of competitive swimming and declared tonight as we swam in his grandma's pool, "I love my jammer! I'm never wearing a regular swimsuit again." When my older boys competed, they would wear board shorts or basketball shorts over their jammers until they got to the starting block, then drop trou (so to speak) and swim their heat, putting the shorts back on afterwards. They still wear their jammers under their regular suits. I think it gives more support and protects against chafing. Shrug. I don't mind Speedos either. YMMV.

When they wear "shorts over shorts" that means there self concious and embarrassed. Its just way society is today.. Peer pressure and everything else. Reason is tight clothing on guys is labeled as "gay" by young people today.. Im sorry if that bothers some, but its true. I wear tight clothing (Speedos) ...So I can say it.. LOL.

Actually, the lower part of that swimsuit is being worn today.. Look at some of the Olympic swimmers.. Its called "Jammers".. It still reveals the same areas of body as a speedo, except it covers the legs down to knees, because men today are afraid to show there thighs because Society thinks its the new male sex organ.. :rolleyes:

Nude with a towel wrapped around you.. That is the "proper" procedure. But its entirely up to the person using the facilities.

take a look at the embarkation photos, pating attention to single people or same-sex couples/groups. not a sure thing, but a good starting point.

For the last 3 cruises I never bothered getting my pic taken before boarding the ship since ive taken so many. This time since im going alone, i will get my pic taken in terminal wearing my kilt. That way people looking for other singles in the photo display may notice me traveling alone, etc. Never really thought of this idea.

Anyone know of a way to meet someone to share a room BUT NOT A HOOK-UP?

Good luck, I tryed that twice.. Seems like the other person wants to "mess around" as part of the room share deal.. That is why i just booked a cabin at full price alone..

It’s an incredible bridge. My parents used to take me on a vacation to VA Beach every summer, and I always looked forward to crossing the bridge. I’m just glad that it’s now two bridges, one going in each direction. Used to be a single bridge with one lane going in either direction- scary! Per our tradition, we stopped at the rest stop on the bridge. They have a nice shop with souvenirs, a café with beautiful ocean views, and a fishing pier.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I used to live in Norfolk Va for 9 years while i was in Navy. I owned my first boat there and cant say how many times Ive fished along that bridge all way to both ends. Great fishing at the rocks just off the tunnel channels. When when i was there, there was only 1 bridge (84-92). My parents used to live up on Md eastern shore which was about a 3 hour drive from Norfolk, Toll was 12.00 each way to drag a boat with single axle. Those were good times that i miss..

Im mainly looking for somebody to be friends with while on the cruise or afterwards, not nessesarly looking for a life partner per say..

Im going to give it a try. This is first time Im going solo. Im not one of those guys that sit in clubs and sports bars on ship. I may go into the Disco if the music is good, ill sit there and listen for awile. Once the cig smoke gets to me I will walk out. I like to roam the ship after hours at night, sit out in sun during day, I also like to spend time at the gym and saunia a few times a day on a cruise. Im mostly a people watcher. I rarely drink, mabie a couple during the whole week. Mostly the frozen drink types.

Im not the type to start a conversation, but if you came up to me to start one then i open up more. Im more of a quiet layed back type person.

Seems like everybody wants Mahildia to go with them.LOL. I know this topic is old, Figured Id update my status. I just booked a cruise on Carnival Glory for Nov 25 2012. Its going 7 days to Western from Miami. Grand Caymen, Cozumel, Belize, Roatan Honduris.

I will be alone on this cruise wearing my Kilts as always..:D

the glory was my first cruise great ship have great time i got about less then 100 days before i cruise.did not have any problems . Sauna and steam area was a great place to meet new guys.

I was on the Glory back in 2005, this will be second time. Susposly has upgrades now as compared to last time.

Im officially booked on the Nov 25th cruise out of miami on Carnival Glory. for 7 days.

Im 49 yo, in shape, never married, no kids, and no relationships. I work as a automoive mechanic for a large company and have good benefits and make good money for somebody single. I get 3 weeks vacation a year and usually take cruises with family or Just my brother in law and I. Currently I have my first solo cruise booked for Nov this year.
