  1. I am searching for something to do with our toddler. We thought the zoo might be fun. I was wondering how far of a drive is it from the pier? Which company to use? Are there any other stops? Thank you for any advice in advance, and also if you have any tips for what to do with a toddler in Belize it would be much appreciated as well :)

  2. Long time cruiser, first time with a toddler. I was originally thinking of swimming with the dolphins but they said he had to be at least 3. Last time I was in Cozumel we just shopped and I want to do more. I came across Playa Mia on this board. I saw it and Mr. Sanchos. Playa Mia seemed more toddler friendly to me but has enough where adults (4 of us), can enjoy too. A few questions:

Do you think this is the best option with a toddler?

Does this place sell out? Should we buy in advance or just get a taxi to take us there?

Are there any discounts available for this place?

Would you recommend the food/drinks here or na?

Any other tips would be much appreciated!

    Muchas gracias :)

  3. Hi there, long time cruiser, first time to Belize and first time with a toddler :)

We love to snorkel and have read it's amazing in Belize. I would like to know:

Are there any beach spots that are great to snorkel from, if so where and how much do they cost? Or what are the best trips to go to by boat (don't want multiple stops....) and the price. There are 4 adults and a toddler so someone would always be out of the water with the toddler but ideally, I'd like a place where that person could take him splashing around while the other snorkel. Thanks in advance for the info!

  4. I've been on lots of cruises and prefer to book outside of the cruise ship. We've never been to Belize though. There are 5 adults and a 17 month old. I would really like to visit Altun Ha (I think it's the closest) and maybe snorkleing? We are stopping in Mahogny Bay too and have snorkeling booked there. Is Belize better than or same as Mahogony Bay?

So, does anyone have a private company that would recommend to take us to the ruins for sure and maybe snorkeling? Also, if we decide to just get a taxi does anyone know how much it would cost for us to get the ruins and back? What type of souvineers that are local are a must get? Thanks so much!

  5. I generally love to snorkel. I also love history and wildlife. My parents and cousin will be with us if we need to take turns watching him. He's already been to Hawaii and Vegas once and he's a pretty good traveler (knock on wood). I'd prefer not to do just a beach trip. I have hired a private taxi on other cruises and wouldn't mind doing a private stop. Does anyone have someone to recommend or a company? Is there any way to do snorkeling, the zoo, and some history? I should mention that I'm a teacher and love exposing him to as much as possible. Thank you so much for all of your help!! We are on Carnival BTW and didn't get any special discount besides that of a 3rd person :( Booooo

  6. We will be stopping at Cozumel, Mahogany Bay, and Belize. What excursions can we take him on? Also, what activities onboard a Carnival Cruise ship can he participate in? I've been on many cruises but none with a baby :) Thank you in advance :)

  7. My boyfriend and I were planning on buying a diamond engagement ring while on our cruise next month. We stop in GC, Cozumel, and Jamaica, so we figured GC would be the best place to buy a ring. I know, I know, I've read to buy one in the nifty fifty, but we want to on the cruise. Is there a shop in GC that you would recommend? Thanks!!!

  8. Okay, so I tried to redeem beverage package for cruise booked in March, a group cruise. When I called personally they said I could apply it if booked after August??? then when my travel agent called they said you have to apply the code when you book and you can't use it on group bookings. I don't understand the group bookings because we paid the same amount individual prices would have been....I don't understand the new cruises only because it states then once you use the code on a booking you only have 90 days to use it, that would mean you can't book anything more than a month and a half out...no good for us planners!!! I'm really dissapointed with this one :( BTW, I've read this board for years but am new :)
