  1. Hi cruisers!

We have a huge group going on the Breeze in 1/4/2014. One of the group members is not a citizen and only has a valid green card. He came here as a refugee and does not have a passport from his birth country (Thailand). I have contacted the Thai embassy but they won't issue him with a passport because he's considered "stateless." I have done hundreds of searches on the internet regarding this issue and have read so many different scenarios, advices, etc from people saying he should get a passport (I'm not sure how though) and those who said they've sailed with just a green card with no problems. I even confirmed with three Carnival PVPs that he will be okay to travel with only his green card and driver's license. Has anyone recently sailed with just a green card? Did you have any issues with boarding? Thanks in advance for your replies.

I know it's been a long time but gonna try to ask and see if you can see it ..

Did your friend end up going? Did he get on? Any extra info would be helpful since I have a friend in a similar situation. Thanks

  2. Thank you everyone for your input. I just finished my first cruise!

Being a US permanent resident I only needed my green card and not

My Philippine passport. My trip was to the Bahamas. It was a closed loop

Cruise. My passport was NOT required. I hope this will help others who had difficulties finding the correct information. I hope that the Bahamian embassy

Could be better with providing proper information in regards to "closed loop cruises".

    I have a question..

Did you have to print out documents stating those countries didn't require a visa or passport and show it at check in?

  3. Hello,

I'm cruising to Cozumel and decided to do the Dolphin Encounter at Chankanaab National Park. I tried booking from this site

http://cozumel-tours.com/dolphin-encounter.htm since they have discount and its only $59 vs Ship price of $89.

Has anyone used this site before?

Also..when I tried to book..during the check out site...I would choose the Cruise line Carnival..and it would tell me that I cant book. I would need to book thru Carnival's site?

Has anyone had this problem before?

    Thanks!!!
