I will be traveling on Independence of the Seas (taking my nephew for his high school graduation gift). While my nephew is off doing his thing, it would be great to meet up with some other LGBT people on board. Anyone else traveling on the March 16 Independence of the Seas sailing from Ft. Lauderdale?

Sounds like a great idea. I always like to be up at the front of the ship for sailaway. Any suggestions?

I am traveling solo on the NCL Getaway this week, March 22. I was on the Epic at Christmas and had such a good time that I couldn't pass up this opportunity. I will be in the Studio (solo) cabins. Hope to meet up.

Hi there... Late in signing on (and in deciding to do the cruise). First time traveling solo on a cruise and looking forward to the experience and meeting new people. Hoping that there are other friendly gay folks on the ship. I'm in the single "Studio" cabins.

I have enjoyed reading these posts and feel much better. I, too, am going on my first solo cruise on December 21 (Norwegian Epic). I usually love RCL and Celebrity, but since NCL has the solo cabins (no single supplement), I decided to give it a try. As a recently single gay man, I have been fretting over this trip, but I now feel better and I am looking forward to a fun time and hope to meet new friends.:)
