Thanks for your updates! We were 4 hours from boarding this cruise and got a call my dad had a medical emergency....So back home to the ice storm!!! We have done this itinerary before and Its one of our favorites! Enjoy the rest of your amazing voyage!

I finally convinced my wife after 20 years to get into the pool on our last cruise (she considers them very unhygienic) and she broke out in a rash. First and last time.

I totally agree with your wife....I'm convinced they are a total petri dish of yuk!

We had port side Sky Suite on TA last year...the balcony is wide but narrow and does not go around the side...just to the corner...however you do get a nice view! The only issue with being on the lower floor(6th), was, the butler and his assistants did not provide the services we have known in the past. I do think they were trying, but, the butler had 3 floors of sky suites..it took 2 full days of sailing to get ice in the bucket...I always ask for the fridge to be empty and take away all the extra pillows...this never happened. We did enjoy the cruise,and the Michaels Club Concierge was awesome. We will in the future stick to deck 11 or 12...

Perkless suits would certainly be hard to monitor and police, for sure. Just wondering what perks you would eliminate IF something like this were to fly?????

It seems as thought there are guests who want the perks we get..i.e. room size and other fantastic suite provisions but... they want to pay the fee they pay for their inside cabin..sorry Its not the way cruising works...you get what you pay for, with that being said, we have been way tooo spoiled by our butlers and room assistants to even consider a (gasp)...cabin thats not a suite:p
