So again it is an opinion that’s each one of has - so what if it’s a man made beach? Does that really matter ? The older people on here don’t like it because it has a tendency to have loud music and serve drinks-in ‘13 it was a fun little beach for my kids - and we didn’t have to hassle- on the last day with worrying to make it back on time — as far as bus DO NOT take the public Bermuda Bus they are having issues with service — stick with the shuttle —- and investigate other options than booking thru cruise line —- it could save you some $$ again this is my opinion!!

So I have heard that they now clean the beach daily and there really isn’t that much trash on the beach like it was previously reported - I don’t like to play with time on the last day of a cruise - especially if you have to go 20-30 minutes away - all kind of stuff can happen - these boards are a great source of info - but remember it’s based on people’s opinions

Honestly the complaints I have seen come from people who just don’t like the big ship experience- or from NCL or Carnival - Royal has always done a nice job on the ships - in regards to upsell dining its an option - some people ( me included) dislike the MDR experience and don’t find it unbearable to pay extra for a better meal - I think that more cruise lines are going to move away from the Traditional MDR experience and offer more upcharge dining like NCL - just my opinion - and for private sundecks - they are on the ships you just have to find them - and the Q class still has plenty of sun space - albeit not near the pool but really folks it’s not a long walk to get to a pool - and crowds on every ship I have been on we have never felt the crowds to be over the top ( except Carnival - but that’s a different over the top) so if you don’t like a big ship stay on your small ship and give us the extra lounger!

so I just went on RCCL website to update our sign and sail account and got a weird message saying that the reservation is currently being modified and to try back later? It wouldn’t let me in to modify so I’d RCCL doing something ? I didn’t ask them to? Just seemed odd ? Has this happen to anyone else and what was the outcome ? Upgrade? ....

Never / ever had a problem taking shells or sea glass back - once I even had a conch shell from the Bahamas and no one said a word? I have been gathering stuff on beaches every time we cruise , you just need to be discreet as where you keep it

Umm Bermuda in October is just as warm as September, I have been there in October and November and it was high 70’s-80’s and perfect swimming weather - RCCL stopped the 7 nt Bermuda in 2013 when they pulled Explorer out of Bayonne - Anthem is doing them late fall -

I also have heard that if you have a medical reason you wouldn’t be required to purchase 2 deluxe package only one and a refreshment package

But you could have made reservations for the “free” stuff way ahead of time...

The ship this time of year thru summer is packed - we cruise in September as to avoid this.. I get that maybe you can’t ... as far as room steward goes that’s there job - you want a little extra than give them some extra — it’s a large ship with lots to do -

We are booked in September this year and are looking forward to it - we enjoy the big ship style and start planning for things as soon as we book — just my 2 cents —-

just booked Anthem last night for 5 day Bermuda in September- last was on Explorer in ‘13 - I saw somewhere that you can reserve “special “ deck chairs for $150? Any info on that?

Ummm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy- however - ALL cruise lines have extensive policy in place that forbids the bringing on or taking off of food - and for obvious reasons - disease / health issues / introduction of foreign stuff both on the boat and in the US or other port - as well as the USDA and Customs definitely would have confiscated ! I don't think this is a reason to be unhappy with a cruise lines decision --

Really nothing wrong with Dock Yard - and with the Americas Cup right downtown - and HAL is a smaller ship - we are not small ship people - and next year Dockyard is the place to be - Americas Cup 2017 hosted in them"tourist trap"
