It is a duale!  I called the information number on the web site & a guy said that the truck (oversized) he called it should be fine.  He also said that there is an outside lot and we wouldn't have to worry arriving in the afternoon to find a spot that worked.

We will see!  Thanks everyone.  I thought I would just get this out there in case anyone has the same question.

We are leaving on the Oosterdam on Saturday April 6th.  We have never parked at the port and got some good advise regarding that - one more question please....we have a big 350 Dodge Ram.  Is there an outside place to park at midport parking?

Or can the truck fit in the covered section????

We can't drop our dog off until 10 - then we have about a 3 hour drive to the port - so hopefully all will go well and there will be parking available after 1 or so.

Hello:  We are taking a last minute cruise out of Port Everglades on 4/6.  We are in Florida so we are driving & parking for the first time.

Can anyone give me updated information on how/where to park at the port?  Can you reserve ahead of time?

We thought the cruise directors Cuddy & Claire were very entertaining. We didn't do much around the pool so not sure there. I thought most the staff was upbeat. There was this guy in charge of the germ stuff at the Windjammer who was so crazy .....he made everyone smile - he was dancing & dressed up in these crazy costumes. The bartenders were good .....another thing I really liked this time was the captain announcements...everyone he praised his staff - I would think that would make for good staff moral.

I think where we were was part of Eagle Beach - maybe the beginning of it? They have umbrellas also to rent - saw a sign for massages, rum punch was good - food smelled good. It was very undeveloped which was kind of nice in a way. Then there might have been some park land then way down you could see the high rises. It made for a peaceful day. Only problem there was just one bathroom for each which of course for females creates a line. There was taxis waiting to take us back too - $13.

We never left the ship super early so no lines and not a problem - they seem to do a really good job of keeping lines moving.

We took a taxi with another couple to Eagle Beach. It was a new area the taxi driver recommended that had a bathroom and small building with drinks, beer and food. We paid $20 for 2 chairs without umbrellas. It was cloudy and rained that day but actually it felt good so it wasn't so hot. It wasn't real crowded or very far away. The beach was beautiful of course.

They do not put beach towels in your room. They have them in tubs when you go off the ship. You have to check them out with your card. You also have to use your card to get them in the pool area. You would think that would help making people return them when they are done instead of leaving them on the chairs. They say there is a $25 fine if not returned. While most the chairs around the pools where taken - there was plenty of chairs on the other decks. We used the solarium later in the day because we had a later dinner time and then there would be chairs. It is a really nice area.

There was only a container in the shower that we thought was body wash?? Not sure. We did not ask for the shampoo or lotion so not sure how that would work.

We did ask for ice & she told us they do not give it out unless you ask. She brought it for us.

No robes - did not ask but did miss them - we have always had one so didn't bring one.

We did not see a drink card offered until day 4 - I think. We bought one for $75.00 for 10 drinks + the 18%. So that was a good deal. They let you use it for anything. We considered buying the drink package but it would have been $1,000 for both of us. Our bill ended up being around $500 so glad we did not purchase the package. We had more than we needed!

The 3 dinner package was $75.00 per person. That did include the 18%. I wasn't sure how that would work from what I read on that. It was worth it so good.

The bed was very hard.

We did have fun and were lucky to be able to get away before the holidays. There weren't too many kids on this sailing - mostly young ones.

This was our 1st Royal Cruise. This is # 10 for us - been on Celebrity, Holland & NCL. We are in our 60's. Got to port around 1 pm - smooth embarkation - rooms were ready. We thought the food was good, main, Windjammer and did Chops & Giovanni's. Also liked the Cafe for coffee & snacks. We had a promenade inside which was fun & so dark. We usually do balconies. The Ice Show & Comedians were great - we did not see the other shows. We enjoyed the deck 4 to walk around and also just to sit & read. Mini golf was also fun. Solarium was great but always so crowded - hard to find a chair. We did Labadee, Curacao, Bonaire & Aruba. We did 2 shore excursions & Aruba a beach day on our own. 4 sea days were a bit too much - too much food & drink!!!! What we missed was no robes, no shampoo or lotion, no ice - but we did ask Patricia our lovely room attendant and she brought us some twice each day. No ability to purchase a bottle of alcohol for your room. The buffet & promenade were pretty crazy busy...but lots of fun stuff going on. Disembark was amazing!! I still can't even believe it...we had a flight home at 12:30 pm. We did the self walk off. We were off before 7 - they were rushing us thru customs...grabbed a cab & were at the airport by 8 am! We have appreciated all the help we get from this board - so if you have any questions - I'd be glad to answer.

What if you make the reservations for my time but then you don’t go at that time? Can you still just show up ?

Trying to book dining on line. We are sailing in December. When I try to book the 3 night package it is not available on any of the days.....so we booked 2 separate and figure we have to do it that way? I also booked 2 anytime dinners then it would not let me book any more days. This is a 9 day cruise. How else do you do the anytime? Just show up & wait? We have only been on Celebrity & HA so have not done the on line reservation thing. Thanks Much!!

Checking out the drink package - seems really high for the 2 of us.

I don't see anywhere that you can buy a bottle for your room? Can that happen?

Also I see some talk of drink cards? Will that be an option?

We just decided to do this & are excited!

Also me again. Is it possible to get a shuttle to the hotel when we get in so late and a shuttle to the cruise port the next day? Haven't been to this cruise port so any help would be appreciated.

Hello: We are flying in late on Thursday, December 7, 2017 for a cruise. We get in late at 10:00 pm. Suggestions for a close to the airport late night guarantee .....nothing too fancy....but places to walk would be nice for the am before boarding.

This is a great thread!!! My first cruise in 1983- 3 or 4 day Miami to Bahamas, private island....my mom - her friend - me & my SIL. They had tenders taking you back from the island to the ship. My mom got on the wrong one - no ID required thought it was our ship...they take off heading to Jamaica...she is in her bathing suit....well they offered to take her along on the cruise but she was worried about us, her meds, clothes, etc. So they actually had to turn the ship around come back & meet our ship (NCL) she was transferred....

The funny part was we didn't know it was her...the whole ship was talking about it and then it turns out to be MY mother!!! All was well but I still tell the story to people.

This response makes me sad!!!! How can they not have enough chairs & space for everyone?? We would get a balcony cabin but still.....

So how is the weather in December? We have been on 9 cruises but always in Jan, Feb or March.

We are retired and also considering Holland American just because of the "crowded" issue.

We are considering a 10 day in early December. When we were on the Equinox in 2013 it was very difficult to find a chair on any deck on sea days. Since they are about the same size we were wondering how much of a problem this is on Reflection. There are 4 sea days on this cruise.

We have been on Summit twice and never had the same problem.

Anything we should know about Reflection??

We were on deck 11 - really close to the aft elevators - thought it might be a problem with noise. The only noise was from the kids place up on 12 but they were gone by 10 or so. It was so handy to go up the stairs for the pools and buffet. Wilber was our steward. We actually never had to ask for anything. Ice 2 times a day - cleaned up - so hard working & smiling all the time so friendly. I thought the rooms were pretty nice and I also liked all the Hawaiian colors and flowers....most of the bartenders were friendly.

We also just got off the Jade Saturday. We are Celebrity/HAL cruisers - 9 years in a row. We booked last minutes so no packages were included. Ok fine we got a good last minute price on a mini-suite. We ordered our first drinks on board 2 small regular drinks and the total was $23.00. WOW seemed really high so we asked about the drink package. Both people have to take it so 1300.00 for the week. We have had one before that included bottled water and specialty coffee. While talking to the girl she pointed at the water bottle and we thought - said it was included. Well it wasn't. So there is now way we could even break even just on liquor. Why would they even want someone to drink $79 per day? I feel we were just mislead....it should include water in my opinion.

We thought the food was good. We tried most of the free places and Cagney's one night - it was good but not a lot of food. We liked not having to dress up for dinner and the service was faster.

There was more kids on board than we were used to but mostly they were well behaved. We didn't have much of a problem getting drinks. Our room steward was excellent. Seemed maybe a little more crowded at times.

Mostly it was good but not the best cruise we have been on. More questions?

We seem to have become very addicted to cruising in the Caribbean. We have gone the last 8 years mostly on Celebrity to escape our cold long winters. So we were thinking of adding a 2nd cruise this year and there are some really good offers on a Bermuda Cruise. We are not sure if we would enjoy this one?? Can anyone comment on that? If we went in mid May would in be cold there? We would like to go before all the kids are out of school. Any advise you could give would really be appreciated!

Thanks for the information. I wasn't sure how that worked. We are going with my DD & SIL - it is their first cruise and she has a birthday on the 3rd night. We were thinking specialty restaurant for that evening would be fun! We are excited at all the ports for this cruise and just excited to go and get out of MN winter!

Does anyone know if this cruise has 2 formal nights and if so what nights they are? This is a port intensive cruise with only 1 sea day. We are trying to plan a birthday.
