You think that is bad, I got 11 different credits totaling $1k+  to my CC.  Called RCL and they could not help me and referred me to my TA.  My TA has no idea what these credits are for.  Been over 3 months and still no one has a solution or don't care.

    I've stopped following up.

Thanks, that is kind of what I was hoping to hear from others. The cancelled cruise was also through a TA, so maybe that extra layer is causing them problems. Everything looks right on my end, so... thanks RCL! They'll get it back from us many times over anyway.

  2. I had two $250 credits from "Royal Caribbean Cruises" show up on my credit card Dec 1, and I cannot figure out where they came from. Last summer we used the Lift n Shift to move one cruise (2 cabins, 5 guests) from July 2020 to July 2021. We also cancelled a different cruise (2 cabins, 4 guests) and received a full refund on the fare, but had them hold the credit for Cruise Planner purchases to apply to our next cruise at 125%. We have not yet applied the obc because as I understand it, those credits may be non-refundable if we end up changing the cruise we apply them towards. Our cruise for next July is still showing in our RCCL account. I don't know how to check that the obc from the planner purchases is still there, but the amounts would not match anyway. We don't have any other cruises scheduled or deposits outstanding. Any ideas where the 2 x $250 may have come from? I appreciate the gift from RCCL, but I am concerned it may come with an unwelcome surprise later.

  3. Hi, We'd like to try cave tubing in Belize, but most excursions seem to include a significant walk through the jungle. My SIL is on the tail end of recovering from foot surgery and will likely still be in a walking boot. She has no open wounds and is cleared for all normal activities, but would have a tough time walking for 20 minutes in rough terrain. One review I saw said their hike to the tubing site was 45 minutes!

So, can anyone tell me how long the walk/hike was up to your tubing site, and let me know which company you went with. Any suggestions for a tour agency with minimal walking would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

  4. Hi,

Our family of 5 is sailing on Carnival out of Galveston in January. We are planning to fly in and out of Hobby. I was hoping to book a post-cruise tour with a visit to NASA then a drop off a the airport for our 5 pm flight, but I don't see anything listed on the Carnival website. Does anyone know of an independent operator or a reasonably priced way to book such a trip?

    Thanks,

    Brandi

  5. Extra plastic bags or big ziploc bags for packing wet clothes.

Unless you want to carry off all of your luggage yourself, plan for a small bag to keep the last night, since all luggage will be taken early the last night onboard.

Favorite snacks for your kids--if they are partial to granola bars, or other packaged foods, these are especially useful on shore excursions or when you get back to the ship 1 1/2 hours before dinner.

If you are cold-natured, take a light sweater to wear in the evenings, show rooms tend to be cool.

We also travel with a whole pharmacy in our medical kit--every trip someone needs allergy meds (there will be smokers), immodium, bandaids (which cost $6 on board ;), antibiotic cream, manicure set, aloe vera gel, anything your family ever uses.

Pack everything you think you want, then take out half of the clothes (except shoes 'cause you can never have too many of those).

    Relax and have fun!
