I can totally see your point but we did take our two boys on a Royal Caribbean cruise when they were 3 and 5 and they had a blast (as did we). We brought the other grandmom with us as a dedicated babysitter and it worked well. We still got to go out at night and they boys still got to enjoy their days on the ship.
I can only speak for myself but ANYWHERE but home doing dishes and laundry is a vacation and worth taking--even if the kids come with you :) And especially if you make provisions to ensure you get your alone time while on the ship. Plus RC has an amazing kid's club that my boys loved so that helped a lot.

ooooggggh !!!!
Is that good or bad???? LOL

Just wondering how he is. We'll have him on our upcoming Explorer cruise in 15 days :)

I'll be in the same boat (LOL) as you. I have a family stateroom on the Explorer- room 8500-which is the most forward cabin on that floor! But it was the only family stateroom left available and I need it since I am traveling with my 3 boys. Oh well...we'll just make the best of it! Better than being in my bedroom here at home with the snow falling :D
Just a heads up to the Rum Runners.Posting your pics bad Idea.RCL looks at these boards for customer service.
Hey, if Royal Caribbean takes the time to memorize my face and seek me out on my upcoming cruise, then by golly, they deserve to catch me with my Rum Runners! LOL -
Feed Man-- I think what a lot of people here are saying is that they use their Rum Runners so that they can have a drink in their own rooms--not while they are at the casino or sitting near the pool. My guess is that they would still order drinks from the ship at those other times. For me, if I didn't bring my own alcohol into my room, I wouldn't bother with ordering a drink from room service while getting ready for dinner or when getting back to the room later at night. I probably would make my own drink though if I had it in my room already. My point...Royal Caribbean isn't losing any money off of me bringing my own because I wouldn't otherwise order a drink from them at the times I would make my own in my room. I will still order drinks at dinner and still get drinks at the bars and by the pool so I'm not worried about RC losing any money.

Thanks for all the replies! I especially enjoyed the butt cheek one :D
I guess my question was more for my 3 boys but as a woman, it is a bit harder to carry if I only have on a bathingsuit and a wrap (you men are lucky with your velcro pockets in your bathing suits!).
So is the Seapass card and the room key the same size? Both credit card sized? For those who use lanyards....which kind do you prefer...the one with a clear pouch or do you just hole punch the cards and attach directly to the lanyard? Would the room key still work if it's hole punched?

Is a lanyard the best way to carry it? Do they sell them on the ship or will the seapass fit into a typical lanyard that fits a credit card? Thanks!

I have SO enjoyed your trip review--especially since we'll be on the same cruise in 45 days :)
Quick question for you (and you may have answered it in your report but I fear it would take me quite some time to go back and re-read it again to try to find my answer LOL)
We have never done a specialty restaurant and want to do Crown Grill this time. We've heard one of the best nights to do it is when they have Caribbean night in the main dining room since the food is just so-so that night. Do you happen to remember which night of the cruise that was? I went back and looked at your Patters thinking they may have mentioned it but I didn't see it.
Also, do you have to wait until you get on board to book the Crown Grill or can you do it before the cruise somehow? Thanks for all your help!!!
