Princess needs to offer less expensive hotel packages.  We just need a clean and safe place to stay the night before embarkation. We are usually too jet-lagged to enjoy the hotel.   We used a Princess hotel package in Copenhagen, because it was reasonable.  We stayed in an extremely nice boutique hotel in Rome for a fraction of the cost of the cheapest Princess hotel.

The Pacific Princess had an amazing library with lots of comfy chairs.

We have been to both Altuna  Ha and Lamanai and enjoyed them both.  Lamanai ruins are taller.  We also enjoyed the speedboat ride to Lamanai

I am having the same problem.

We like the beverage service in the buffet on Princess. The buffet on Carnival felt more crowded because there were so many people walking around getting water and tea. When we ate in the Horizon Court on Princess there was usually a server taking our drink order within 1-12 minutes after we sat down with our food. Carnival had a very similar selection of food every night in the Buffet, but Princess had new things every night.

Princess has trivia contests almost every day.

We liked the comedy club on Carnival. Princess usually has comedy acts, but not as often as on Carnival.

We did a 12 night Mediterranean cruise in 2010 on the Ruby Princess with 2 teenage boys (and 2 parents) in an inside cabin. We still remember it as the best vacation we have ever taken. We were so tired from the shore excursions that the cramped quarters did not bother us.
