That is old info.  You can bring the 12 containers of non-alcoholic beverages.

Beware, calling Royal may or may not confuse you even more.

Here is what it says in my cruise documents that just came this morning. I am unsure if we are allowed or not allowed, seems to be conflicting information, I guess I better call Royal Caribbean.

Guests are not allowed to bring beer, hard liquor, fortified wines (vermouth, sherry, sake, and port wines) or nonalcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use. Guests may bring personal wine or champagne onboard only on embarkation day, limited to two (2) bottles (no boxes) of 750 ml each per stateroom. Wine should be brought onboard via carry on if possible. Luggage containing wine or champagne will not be delivered to the stateroom and guests will need to retrieve their luggage from security once the ship has set sail.

I just looked on my cruise eDocs and it says the same things as above, but their website FAQ says more: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/food-drink-onboard-policy

Curious if you get a different answer. We leave in a week and I plan on bringing 12 cans of soda.

RCI newbie here....How does this work, don't they just take your tagged bags (presumably with waterbottles in them) from you at embarkation?  Why the need for boarding in 2 groups?  Or, are you referring to bringing it on a carryon?

From their website: Guests may also bring non-alcoholic beverages as carry-on items on boarding day. Non-alcoholic beverages may not exceed 12 standard (17 oz.) cans, bottles or cartons per stateroom.

Has to be carry-on...not in your luggage.

  3. Going on Allure of the Seas in January. I downloaded the RCCL app to play around with it and see the little message bubble in the top right. I've also read a few times that Allure has messaging between guests. It says that I can connect with other guests while "connected to ship Wi-Fi"> does that mean I need a VOOM package? Or are they referring to the free Wi-Fi that allows that app to work for scheduling and the calendar view?

    Thanks!

  4. The only shuttle time we could get from our hotel is at 10:30a. Our PAT is 12:00p. Will we be waiting outside or will they let us into the terminal? I have two small kids so I'm trying to prep myself on activities while we wait.

  5. We are taking the 3nt Disney Wonder next week Thursday, arriving back on Sunday. My parents will be driving over from Orlando to pick my family up from the cruise. Can any experienced cruisers give me an educated guess as to when I should tell my dad to arrive Sunday morning? We don’t plan on rushing off the ship. Thanks in advance!

  6. Hubby and I have cruised many times- we’ve been to Nassau’s Port. This is the first time we are cruising with our kids (5 & 8) and since it’s a short cruise (3nt), I’m contemplating staying on the ship while docked at Nassau. I don’t want to do any expensive shore excursions. Has anyone ever stayed on their Disney ship while at port? I assume they still have some activities going on, food available, etc? Anything I should know?

    Thanks!

  7. This isn't my first cruise, yet I'm struggling with what to pack! We've historically gone on cruises in the winter, not the beginning of May. Obviously I can figure out what the temperature in the ports will be, but what about on the cruise ship during days at sea? I feel like I remember always being cold inside the ship because they crank the A/C. Do I pack more summer, light-weight clothing for evenings OR sweaters and long sleeves? Just curious what other people think or have experienced. We leave next week Tuesday on the Vision of the Seas, Western Caribbean cruise.

    Thanks!
