2!!
Packed up and ready to go!
-
Following! Looks like we will be heading to Illinois about the same time you are headed to Texas.:) We are heading up to Peoria in a few days for a family visit. We love the Triumph. Looking forward to your review and our upcoming cruise on her.

Anyone know the current price per day for the package?
-
Just curious for some opinions on my hypothetical scenario --
We currently have booked one premium (bowling alley) balcony and the next regular balcony booked -- checked ahead and ensured that the balcony divider can be opened. Travelers are the hubs and myself, plus three kids (10, 7, 5) on the Triumph.
IF you were me and you were able to score a Grand Suite at a nominal price increase over the two booked rooms, would you do it?
If the kids were older and we could put them in one room alone together, I'd stay with the two rooms. But, since we have to divide and conquer the littles, I wonder if we would be better off in one bigger suite?
Thanks for your input!
What is the "bowling alley" balcony?

Also note that if the kids are not potty trained they are not allowed in the pools. They are usually pretty strict about this for obvious reasons.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post! Love your review. We are in 7688 on Sunday!! Booked it 1 year ago. We are very excited. :)

I am wondering this, too. We are looking for a casual dinner place that has some good Puerto Rican food. (Or just good food in general)

Our group of 27 got off yesterday. It was a pretty good cruise visiting St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Aruba and Curacao. I noticed that there are not many threads about this ship so feel free to ask me what I thought.
Here is what we did in port:
St. Thomas-Shopped a little in the AM and went back on board to enjoy the pool.
St. Kitts-Asked a taxi for the best beach, he suggested we stop at South Friars and then to Cockelshell. We loved Cockelshell.
Aruba-Took a ride to Palm beach for the day.
Curacao-Went snorkeling for the day, it was great. I will look up the company if anyone wants it.
What was your favorite and least favorite thing on the ship?
What did you love about Cockelshell beach? I am looking for a beach with shade, food/drink and nice for swimming and walking.
Thanks

You can carry 2 bottles of wine on the ship on day 1. We saw people carrying bottles around, some were half full others were half empty. ;):D
LOL! Mine wants to be half FULL!

We wear robes to and from the late night hot tub run, but nowhere else.
If we see someone at the buffet wearing a robe we discreetly drop small lightweight food items in their pocket. :D
LOL! Totally agree on both points here. Pool/hot tub is fine for wearing your robe if you so choose. Other public venues are NOT okay. Get dressed!

Will the ships "fall back" when daylight savings time ends on Nov. 2?
We will be on the Magic, sailing Nov. 2. I assume they will change time, but I thought I would check with the forum to see if anyone knows for sure.
The time will affect my excursion plans for Grand Cayman.
Thanks!

The aft balconies on the Magic are awesome, due to size and view, but do not provide much shade or privacy. We love the aft balconies, but do not spend the extra with Carnival because of the lack of cover...Just depends on your preference.

If you click on the pigeon peas link above, these are made by Goya, and to me they look like black eyed peas. I will try them on our Nov. cruise.:)
-
I'm on for the ride, too. Nice pics.

Where do you see the More=Merrier sale? I don't see it.
-
You should be golden! New birth certs and your id will be all you need. Go and have a great cruise.

I just ordered the 17 day diet book from Amazon for a little over $8.00. :)

I have been on the lose before you cruise boards before and was actually doing the HCG. No one is really interested or doing that any longer and I really need someone to be interested in this board because my DD sent me this book. I know it came out in 2011 and no one has posted since then but I just wanted to give this a push to the top of the page because I really want to try it and would like help and encouragement along the way.
Anyone interested?
Cyndee
I am interested. I don't have the book or workout video, but I will see if I can find it for a reasonable price.
I have been considering HCG, but it looks really hard to do.
I will get back here after some research for the book.

Why not just hang on to your gift card and pay off your cruise when due in September. That way if there is a price drop, you can just keep the extra on your gift card. Use the 10 percent cards first, as the regular gift cards do not have an expiration date.

I am on hold with them right now. The only reason I waited until today is because the promo said ends June 16th at midnight. I will fight this as far as I have to. It is the principal as much as the $100.00 for me.
-
Not sure what time the buffet will open, though. It probably won't be open as early as 4:30...
-
As previously stated, breakfast and lunch will have long buffet lines at peak times. Dinner will have little or no line any time. Have a fun cruise!

The Triumph is a great ship! It is a little older and may show some wear here and there, but she more than makes up for it in amenities and charm.

Is bottle water included in the Cheers program?
