Anyone been to this beach? If so how long does it take and how much is the taxi fare for two people?

it will take about 30 minutes to get there and the taxi fare is US 60 one way for 1 up to 4 people minimum. you can try to get two people to join you

Just trying to get a good idea. I thought someone said $20 per person, but I didn't know if that was realistic or not. it is a 30-45 min drive I've read.

We are going to Antiqua on our next back to back in November. We went to Playa Porto Mari the last time we were there (2 years ago) we had a wonderful experience & would love to repeat our visit. I had read on the boards that the taxi had gone up to 40.00 each way which is just outrageous & I was wondering if anyone has been there recently, that could let me know what their experience was like?

What would it cost to rent a Taxi for 2-3 hours for an island tour in Curacao? I don't like the group tours. I had great tours like this in Grand Cayman and St Maarten. They were about $100 plus a tip for the 3 hour tour. Could I expect about the same?[/quote

The cost to Cas Abou beach is US 30 p.p. roundtrip

you might be better booking with one of the tour buses, as the taxis mostly only take 7 people

Taxis can take up to 9 people

We will be in Curacao on New Years Day and from what I understand almost everything will be closed as it is a major family holiday. Carnival does not even have any excursions listed for this port! :confused:

 

We were thinking of just going to a beach for the day or a resort day pass or something similar, but will there be taxis running? And if there are, will we be able to catch a taxi back to the ship from the beach easily?

No worries, Taxis will be running, just arrange with your taxi driver the time for pick up to the ship

Guys Guys, the taxi rates are NOT CORRECT.

You can and will find taxidrivers at the pier who WILL INFORM you of the CORRECT RATE.

Sure you can, I tell people this as well. There are cruisers (like me) who like to arrange for their tours, trips, excursions beforehand.

at the pier there will be plenty Taxi drivers waiting for you
